Unless of course you've seen the whole thing, you can see the first 5 mins of Shrek 2 online at the official website (Here). The opening fairytale intro and following sequence are covered with score (variations on themes from the first film) and then a Counting Crows song kicks in for the Main Titles sequence. Good fun. [Message edited by Camillu on 05-20-2004]

Stephen Barton, additional music. No film by a current, or former members of MV is scored by just one composer. Just look at how many did Chicken Run - listed on my rejected scores site. [Message edited by justin boggan on 05-20-2004]

Kinda like a lot of other composers... to bad a lot of the time their ghostwriters don't get credited though... Clayton

Let me rephrase that ... no film by current, or former MV members is scored by as mny ghost writers as other films.

Apart from some rewritten transitions into our out of popular songs, the majority of the score as it is in the film appears to be reworkings of the same themes from the first film. That disc is worth seeking out. Unless a lot of stuff was thrown out, I can't see how there would be enough for a score release, and there was no reason why a couple of the score themes could not have made it onto the songdisc except that the score was probably not ready/recorded in time enough for marketing.

Does anyone know if the last track on the CD (Holding out for a Hero) has the music Harry Gregson-Williams wrote for it on there? It's almost a 7 minute track so I am thinking it's the full version of what was in the movie.Clayton
