For more memorable Yared themes see "Moon in the Gutter," "Camille Claudel," "Map of the Human Heart," "The Lover," "Possession," etc.

James, these I'm interested in. 'The Lover' and 'Possession' are already mine to own and cherish, but can you tell me more about 'Moon in the Gutter', 'Camille Claudel' and 'Map of the Human Heart'? I've been looking for 'Map' for a while - do you know a place that sells it online?[/B]
Yared's site has sound clips from almost ALL his scores. Go there to check out the "memorable themes."
I think eBay would be one place to try for these. I see "Camille Claudel" all the time there. It's a gorgeous score written almost entirely for strings.
In his reply to my e-mail, Mr. Yared told me his favorite scores were "Moon in the Gutter," "Camille Claudel," and "Troy."

His reply to me was very kind, humble, and open. He sounds like a truly wonderful person, and his willingness to communicate with fans is especially touching. That alone speaks volumes about his character.

Here's a question though, does signature no. 300 on the petition actually belong to Gabriel Yared???

Curious, what would you guys ask Yared if you had a chance.
I looked through my list and he has two other rejected scores:Les Miserables - 1998
The Wings Of The Dove -1997[Message edited by justin boggan on 05-27-2004]

Are you saying there Aren't any memorable themes? Because I'll tell you, I can provide track times for every theme, and can point to the Places where they are all used in the Movie as well.

There's no need to insult one selection of fans to agree with another.

1. To your knowledge, have these scores been used as temp tracks by the studios that hold the rights? (He'll say yes to that in relation to Wings of a Dove.)
2. Have you ever attempted to rework any of the themes from these scores into your own subsequent work?
3. In response to rumors of your rejection from Troy, you put a long message on your website in which you described the music and the process leading to the rejection of the score. Could you describe, firstly the scores you composed for these films, secondly, how you feel about the music with the distance of a few years, thirdly, how those scores came to be rejected when only a year before you had won an Oscar for a Miramax production (Miramax produced Wings of a Dove)?

I would jsut like to point out, as I went to the petition, at 1:38 a.m. May 28, 2004, there were 776 signatures.(Also my rejected scores site, since I added a Hit Counter a couple days, or so ago, has totally shocked at how many times the page is visited daily. An estimated 45 people a day. Wowzers. :-)

There's no need to promo it--make it available! People will pay for it! Why give the hoarders something to hang over the heads of slavering fans and blackmarketers....geez.....

The petition already has 1100 signatures. That almost enough for a limited edition to break even.Maybe Prometheus or Intrada could do a limited release.

WB is the problem I keep reading. Sure, we may want it, but they might not want to give it to us.I am still waiting for a few things from their vaults. :-(
