Hmn, that's a good question, Brian. While there have been a few exciting scores thus far in 2004 (HELLBOY, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, parts of VAN HELSING), I haven't written reviews of any of them... Including Brian Tyler's latest, GODSEND. That was reviewed by Paul Cote:
http://www.cinemusic.net/reviews/2004/godsend.htmlAnd on a side note: I liked GODSEND as well

Joseph, I could be a P.A. forever and still be more important in the film industry than a guy stuck aaaaallll the way up there in Butt-****, Ontario!I see you've changed your avatar over at the shameless FTP board you frequent. Good idea.

An ego and a bad attitude. No wonder...You think so, eh? Wow, since you've cared so much up to this point, I would have thought you would have heard about the move to the Australian film industry.
But you know everything, so that couldn't be!
Enjoy those PA jobs, which by the way you don't even need a film degree to be eligible
Best regards,
Joe

288,000 plus jobs recently created in the U.S. and not one of them for Justin Boggan.

With comments like that, I have a feeling that I'm probably not going to like this score. There's an amazing amount of droning nothingness in these sound clips.

Well then just don't ho see it and stop bashing the movie!
It's so annoying to always have a post from people who haven't seen the final product saying that it gonna s**k Man, how do you know how bad it will be? Are you attached to the project? I've you seen it yet? No? Ah I see, you have magical power to predict things! :P The fact is you just can't tell it before you see it god damn it!! It's the same old story time after time, when we hear the new assignements of a composer, especially for Zimmer or Horner, as well as Danna and Yared, even Debney (rememeber The Passion?), same thing for any bruckeimer or zemmerich movies and others. damn...You don't want to see or hear the product, that's fine. But bashing it before you've seen it, then it's totaly useless. Post like that doesn't help to keep forums interresting!

I think one of the things that makes us shy away from this film is that after seeing the previews I realized you could substitute an alien space craft or a giant iguanna into any of the special effect scenes and it would almost be a frame by frame copy of Emmerich's previous films. In fact quite a few of the shots in the previews look identical to his other films.
Just my observation.posted 05-13-2004 09:03 AM PT (US)

Finally saw this trailer tonight after ignoring it online and going out for popcorn when it played before VAN HELSING.What's the deal here -- aren't people supposed to be sensitive about these sorts of things in a "post 9-11 world"??? They can't make a freaking DIE HARD 4 because plots involving terrorists aren't prudent, but they can slam the Statue of Liberty with a tidal wave and then freeze her steel ass and we're supposed to get geekgasms?
Only a German would be so audacious!

There's a difference between what would happen in Die Hard 4 and this movie. But there's only one similarity, God.
