I know some of you have already heard clips from the Van Helsing Score, but both the Man on Fire score and the Van Helsing score are available for purchase on Itunes right now.

Just wanted to let everyone know. Sorry if this is old news, i didn't find it anywhere else

So...iTunes has officially become a tease. I wonder-- Will they do this with Timeline?

My god people. Get the music now if you want...it's there! I bet money that Man on Fire from Varese will not have all the music from iTunes.

If you want the music you're gonna have to pay for it.

Is it a guarantee that (re: Man On Fire) what's on iTune right now will not be the same that's on the varese album?

Not sure. Nothing listed on Varese's site.

Is Van Helsing on iTunes the same as the official release? I'm getting Man On Fire right now, simply because I cannot wait until June or whatever Varése's release date is; that's too damn long. But, if Van Helsing is longer on iTunes it would be worth it to grab it off iTunes instead of waiting for the disc.

Well the tracks that have been posted in other places online, make it seem like the version on Itunes is pretty much the same one that will be available on CD

Sean, I had to download Man on Fire too. June 8th is just way to far away. I think it was well worth the $11.99. This is the first time I've actually bought anything off of iTunes. But I think I am gonna have to buy the Varese release also though just for the artwork and having a "legit" version of it rather than a CD-R.

On second thought. This is one of the most underwhelming score on CD from Harry. There seems to be alot of underscore and not enough "thematic" material. Like The Fan, there seems to be an emphasis on mood with some motivic passage that's really, REALLY GOOD. Perhaps a short 30-40 minute release would really tighten the pacing of the final album.

I have yet to see the movie, but since I like all of Tony Scott's movie, I'm sure this would be great.

I think that if it was mixed differently (like having tracks combined and stuff) this music would be much better. Right now the tracks just seem to stop (probably because of the way they were in the film) and I think if they just re-mixed the entire album it would be much better. Take the track "The End" (which is not really the title of the track, if you stay through the credits it says the real title), there's about 3 minutes of music in there that's excelent. However the track is 9 minutes long and there's giant gaps between the great stuff and the not so great stuff. I hope Varese is smart enough to do that.

That's part of my disappointment. Spy Game had so much good stuff packed into the entire album that it was a joy to listen to. I really hope that there's more unreleased material to digest in the upcoming Varese album, or else I'll be truly disappointed.
