    May 19, 2005.

Now, all we need is the title of the episode.

    We can only speculate.

Mostly rumors..."The Rising Fear" was one of the possible titles...ONLY A RUMOR.

Also, any curious about the direction the film may be taking might try CartoonNetwork.com's Clone Wars page...the season two finale is pretty incredible, story-wise...

Why, John Willaims pf course! But William Ross will write some stuff and then it will get rejected and they won't tell us, then after John's done, they will throw out half his score and track it with score from other Star Wars movies. And to further infuriate us, also track it with a few minutes of unreleased origianl cues from AOTC.

How about, "The Fall Of The Jedi" or "The Darkest Hour" or "Universe Bleeds"

If 'The Creeping Fear' is the title of the new one, the opportunities for send up titles have multiplied considerably!

    1999... The Drunken Menace

    2002... Attack of the Clowns

    2005... The Fanboy's Tear / The Emporer's Leer / The Dark Side Peer / Olivier's Lear / Miramax Smear

You're going to spend $5 renting it? Are you outta your mind? Wait for ABC to air it. It's free.

    Let's see...

Remove Jake Lloyd and Jar Jar from Episode I & remove all romantic interludes and subsequent dialogue from Episode II, and you have two entertaining sci-fi adventure romps.

Do they pale in comparison to the originals...yes...but I am also not a child any more and they are in not ingrained in memory and psyche. Should Lucas allow someone else to write the screenplays and direct...yes...but I still submit that even a mediocre Star Wars film still has more going for it that a lot of the scifi tripe that comes out these days.

I am looking for more great work from John Williams, though I hope he relies more on existing themes (Imperial March, Emperor's Theme, Duel of the Fates etc) to help tell this pivotal chapter in the story which ties so many elements for all episodes together.)

Oh...that being said...The Creeping Fear sucks.

The Fall of the Jedi or the Rise of the Empire would be in more in line with the other titles from a continuity perspective.

Of course, A New Hope blows too.

You want continuity? I counter propose a balancing title. I expect it will get thrown around- but for what it's worth:

Revenge of the Sith. If you think about it, the title makes sense. It's a counter-balance to Return of the Jedi (the title was originally Revenge of the Jedi- and because of the context of Jedi philosophy, we all know why that was changed- but for the context of the Sith and Palpatine's plans, again, the title suggested here makes just as much sense).

But no title we suggest here will be the one. Even Rise of the Empire or Fall of the Jedi- those are far too obvious. Such discussion arose from whether Episode II was going to be called The Clone Wars. Funny how things turn out, huh?

I agree...Revenge of the Sith would be the most appropriate.

The Creeping Fear...yikes...it gets worse every time I say it.

It won't be an 'of the' title. Each SW trilogy is allowed only one 'of the' - ala 'Return of the Jedi'. 'Attack of the Clones' was this trilogy's 'of the'.

As for the proposed new title, it sounds so much better if you say it like this... The Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg Feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaar....

wow. franz_conrad you just reminded me of those Mary Higgins Clark novels they made us read in high school.

The ones where [typical North American woman's name] is always in distress because her new boyfriend [typical North American man's name] has some sort of mental illness.

Richard Marquand told me before he was killed and replaced by a prototype clone designed by ILM.

The working title is: "Jar Jar Gets a New Friend"

But another strong possibility is, "The Wrath of Cute Furry Animals"

Well...I read a 4 page synopsis of the "supposed" screenplay (you never know for sure with the Star Wars fan club occult out there...which I vehemently deny being part of!)

The story sounds surprisingly good...non-stop action. That being said, any dialogue the man writes makes a creeeeeeeppppiiinnnggggg feeeeeeeaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr run up my spine. If done properly this one truly could be an out and out success. We shall see.

And who really gives a crap anymore?

I mean since we all that Jack Kirby's "4th World" is the basis for what Lucas stole...I'm just not impressed.

I think Lucas is full of himself and ILM...ever notice that ILM does great VFX for every other film and does crap for Lucas?

    Or is it just me?

It's Lucas vision. ILM will do great work no matter what. But if the VFX for SW is crappy, perhaps it's Lucas who has a crappy standard?

Well said Hadrian. Lucas has one vision and it's green. Doesn't matter how sucky the plot is or horrible the acting...Lucas has one goal in mind. Let's all say it together, "How much money he can get in his pocket"

    Good...class dismissed

Ok, I will admit there are two things I like about Star Wars. The sound is unbelievable and the picture quality is always top notch. Those make for good demo DVD's to test on your home theater. When they battle with the lightsabers I have never had the room feel so thick with bass. Lord of the Rings also does a good job with that.
