Ok so my car gets stolen last thursday, and 3 CDs that I rather enjoy were in it.

I've started to miss them very much, more than the car itself actually.
So I started shopping around the used bins to buy replacements, but then it dawned on me that....noone likes the scores I like, so there has to be someone out there who owns at least one of these CDs and doesn't even want them. So I figure why not ask around if anyone would be interested in trading them, before I start buying them agian.

So would anyone out there be interested in helping a brotha out?

I need Mythodea: 2001 Mars Space Odessey by Vangelis, Star Wars EP 2 by John Williams, and Furious Angels 2CD set by Rob Dougan (just the standard US release is fine, not the LE version with the extras unless you want to.)

Well lets see..I don't have very much but perhaps you'd be interested in one of these?

Tim, sorry to hear about your car getting stolen. I had my car broken into one time and they took my CD changer. What really burned me about the event was that they even stole the changer cartridge and the discs inside. If they were going to take the cartridge, couldn't they have just taken the discs out and left them?! It's not like they could have sold the discs later... Fortunately, all the discs inside were replaceable. I hope your car is recovered ASAP, Tim.

Hate to disagree, BMikeJ, but with Used CD shops all around, they could sell those, too-just to get every last damn dime. It's sick, it sucks, and it disgusts me- it's happened to my wife, and to a friend of mine, and there were only so many ways to recover them. Fortunately, for this gentleman, it's only three CD's, and two of them can be had sealed and unplayed for less than six dollars, if you look hard.

Shitty deal...this is why I never leave CDs in my car...

And I'd check ebay for those. Episode II I'm sure you can find cheap.

Yes all three CDs are very easy to come by at below reasonable prices, but I just don't feel like buying them "agian".

Dude, it sucks to have things stolen from you. If you want I can send you a cd with 320kbps version of Mythodea and Furious Angels. I don't really want anything in return.

Well I'm trying get by original CDs.....they should still be widely availible.

I know most of you didn't like Mythodea, and I'm sure some of you bought it and were completely turn off by its electronic sound, and have been eager to trade it off but you can't find the right sucker to take it. Well nows your chance!

    Hi Tim,

I've been spring cleaning and do have some of those titles. Email me if interested and we can discuss.

Sorry to hear about your car.

    Cheers,
    Greg

I do have a serious question to ask you: why would you keep so many cd's in your car when they are so prone to damage from temperture extremes?

Believe me, I've had my car stolen in Brooklyn, but I was fotunate to have the police recover the vehicle with only the door lock and steering column damaged and needing to be replaced.

I have the DVD of the Vangelis concert in Greece. If you can get it, I strongly advise so. It's a wonderful performance.

Well you might be confused or I'm misunderstanding you. That list of 80+ CDs listed above was not in my car. Those are the CDs I'm offering to get only 3 CDs back that were in my car. Mythodea, Star Wars EP2, and Furious Angels.

I haven't had trouble with heat damage to them. I never store them permantly in the car, its only for about a day. And I always keep them out of direct sunlight.

I already own the Mythodea concert DVD. Its awsome.
