GODSEND
Original Motion Picture SoundtrackMusic Composed by Bryan Tyler
Greg Kinnear
Rebecca Romijn-Stamos
Robert DeNiroPaul and Jessie Duncan (Greg Kinnear, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos) have lost their beloved eight year-old son Adam (Cameron Bright) in a tragic accident. As they are arranging for his burial, Dr. Richard Wells, (Robert De Niro) approaches with the incredible offer to clone and bring back their boy.
Accepting the offer in spite of the obvious legal, ethical and moral questions places the couple in a form of Faustian pact with Wells. The secrecy demanded is insignificant in contrast to the fact that their son will again have a chance to grow up. The couple moves to the small town of Riverton, home of Wells’ impressive Godsend Fertility Clinic where the cloned Adam will be born.
The son’s reborn life follows a comfortable pattern until he passes his own eighth birthday — and begins literally living on borrowed time.
The parents have placed their complete trust in Dr. Wells but now questions are raised. They start to wonder, just how far did he really go? Did he settle for simply playing God? Once they unravel the horrific truth, Paul and Jessica Duncan will have to come to term with what they have done. And what has been done to them.
The emotional and dramatic score was composed by Brian Tyler (Children of Dune, Timeline). Deeply textured, rhythmic and mysteriously beautiful, the score surges forward with equal measure of drive and trepidation. Lush strings, piano, electronics and snarling brass produce a thoroughly memorable soundtrack.
Lions Gate Entertainment (The Girl With the Pearl Earring, The Cooler) opens Godsend on April 30.

Bryan BrownDESIRE. PASSION. SCANDAL.
Based on Colleen McCullough’s best-selling novel, this romantic saga spans fifty years and three generations. Winner of 5 Emmy Awards, The Thorn Birds features a star-studded cast. Even after 20 years it remains the second highest-rated miniseries in television history.
In the rugged Australian Outback, three generations of Clearys live through joy sadness, bitter defeat and magnificent triumph – driven by their dreams, sustained by remarkable strength of character … and torn by dark passions, violence and a scandalous family legacy of forbidden love. Richard Chamberlain played the tortured priest Ralph de Bricassart and Rachel Ward was Meggie Clearly, the girl whose heart he broke, time and time again.
In addition to its own legendary status, The Thorn Birds featured what is inarguably one of the greatest and most-loved scores ever penned by the incomparable Henry Mancini. Amazingly, despite the extraordinary success of the mini-series, Mancini’s fame and a huge public outcry for the music’s release, no soundtrack album was ever forthcoming. Finally, in honor of what would have been Henry Mancini’s 80th birthday (April 16, 2004), and to coincide with the US Postal Service’s issue of a Henry Mancini stamp, we are thrilled to offer this spectacular score as a deluxe 2 CD set. Featuring the enormously famous themes from the 10-hour production, this is classic romance at its finest. As a score every bit as beautiful, romantic and famous as Somewhere In Time, Out of Africa or Doctor Zhivago, the release of The Thorn Birds is a major recording event not to be missed by anyone who saw the miniseries, still remembers Mancini’s enchanting melodies or simply loves beautiful music. Further raising current awareness of the television classic, The Thorn Birds has also just made its DVD debut to a vast and awaiting fan base.
At long last, this Mancini masterpiece comes to CD as a lavish two disc set!

No...he's trying to say "it's old news." If he was trying to say something else or something important (other than he posted it there first) then the message wasn't clear.Personally I am more excited about the Mancini than the Tyler.

Well yeah, James... who wouldn't be? Not saying anything bad about Tyler, but Henry Mancini eats Brian Tyler's lunch any day! The Thorn Birds is definitely one of the year's most prized albums - a must have.
