    According to the IMDB.
    Is this for real?

Well, I'm sure it's as real as Danny Elfman scoring "Terminator 3," which was reported on the IMDB last year. And I think all of our veterens remember when Anne Dudley and Richard Band were scoring Terry Gilliam's "Good Omens" (a film that never was made).

No, it's real. He's scoring with the RZA from Wu Tang Clan.

I'm actually looking forward to what they come up with. I hated Isham's score and thought Beltrami's was generic. Both Malcolm X and Eve's Bayou are wonderful scores.

Hey I hope there isn't even a Blade 3 for anyone to score... but that's just me.

No, no, no - we all know it will be and should be Christophe Beck.

What's the deal with Brian Tyler? I bought Children of Dune, and it's alright: all I wanted was the music used in the Master & Commander trailer, which actually sounds like Deep Blue Sea. But, the rest was good, with lots of references to Gladiator, mind you. Timeline wasn't very good (and that's his other big deal score, right?), so what's all the hoopala with this guy's work?

Terence Blanchard doing Blade 3: sounds good!

I don't know what the big deal is either. Children of Dune is pretty much the only score of his that I really want (just because of the Master & Commander trailer) but other than that, I don't think his work is that good. I haven't heard Timeline yet. But from the M&C trailer, it sounds like there's actually a Shrek influence on the score.

Anyway, I like Terence Blanchard, so if he does the film, great, but if I not, oh well. I'm not a big fan of the Blade series.

My experience with the Blade movies has been directors who somehow hired the right composer for the movie that they directed.

Two words: DARKNESS FALLS. If you can listen to this score and still not get what the big deal is about Brian Tyler...then clean the wax out of you ears and listen again!

I was looking through the IMDB birthdays the other day and clicked on Blanchard's name. When I saw BLADE 3 on his page, I was like "Whoa!". This should be interesting, to say the least.

Here are some of the reasons:

    FRAILTY
    PANIC
    BUBBA HO TEP
    TERROR TRACT
    SIRENS
    THE BIG EMPTY
    LAST CALL
    DARKNESS FALLS

Just watched Blade today for the first time in at least 4 or 5 years... It's much lesser of a film than I remember.

Stylish, I guess, but pathetic story, humorless, and pretty weak characters.

Now I gots to watch Blade 2.

Oh, I dunno about Isham's score. It didn't stand out, didn't call attention to itself. I think in this case the subtlety was actually appropriate as something in your face would have make the film seem that much more stupid.

The RZA from Wu Tang Clan seems quite busy. Christopher Lennertz is also working with RZA on the upcoming comedy Soul Plane!
