I mean, will it offend the politically correct and all? It makes me so frikkin happy! Dogs attack! I won't preach about it or anything, honest. (It is a really good score though..uh oh I said I wouldn't do that.)

Of COURSE you can't listen to it. I'm sure if some Christians knew that you were, they would be offended by your action because it doesn't match their view of Biblical "history." In fact, you can't do much of anything these days without offending Christians. And I don't know why -- all they want to do is tell you how to think, how to live, how to act, and how you'll be punished if you don't do EXACTLY as they do... Is that too much to ask?

Look... If you really want to listen to that, then if your conscience will allow you, I don't see how I can stand in your way!

LMAO!!!! That is too funny and too true. mlw, you listen to what ever you want to. Don't let a small number of close-minded bible thumpers dictate to you what you should and shouldn't do. Enjoy your music.

What's the point of this "frikkin" illiterate post, when it's own author says it's pointless? That's whey you hit the "Clear Fields" button, and turn off your computer.

There are lots of Christians not offended by that. I like the Omen score. Film is kinda graphic and yes its a story, so thats ok. Its just one view of it. NO problem with that. Once again more great discussions on this. Its all over. Wow. J.

Oh, shut up, Ryan. You're the queen of the pointless posts!

Seriously though, mlw was being funny...and with a very poignant point being made...for goodness sake if you can't laugh at yourself or others, then what's the point of LIVING? You just can't take things so seriously that you forget a very important tennant of life: it's WAY too short! Try being happy once in a while instead of a complete curmudgeon! (This coming from the guy who waves his magic revolver over the delete button over at FSM! Talk about taking something a little too seriously sometimes...jeez!! IT'S JUST A FILM MUSIC MESSAGE BOARD!!!!)

Yes, it's OK to listen to the Omen. Later, put Peter Gabriel's Passion on the CD player (also a cool score, IMHO). This will help to maintain equilibrium and balance in the universe, though your neighbors may have questions.

Of course you can listen to the "Omen" scores.

And while we're talking about scores with religious themes, might I suggest "Little Buddah" by Ryuichi Sakamoto? I especially recommend "Acceptance-End Credits" which is the last track on the CD. A truly moving piece of music.

P.S. Ryan...why don't you spend more time updating your website rather than blathering on here? I seem to recall you had a Debney interview that you were teasing us with elsewhere. I've yet to see it.

I'm a catholic, and I don't have a problem listening to The Omen, I think it's a fantastic score. I'm not worshipping Satan, I'm just listening to music that is great, and it's just a lotta fun. The scary aspect of it is because the christian things you've been taught.

I have to confess, though, a friend who is a Baptist or something like that, she doesn't like that I listen to it, so I don't know what people make of it from other religions.

    Don't forget about "Rosemary's Baby."

    Christopher Komeda's lovely score, too!

    Ahh-veee Sah-tahneee!

James, the Debney interview goes up tonight, depending on when I get home from my thrilling job on the new Hilary Duff picture.

    So yesterday!

I think you mean Little BuddHa

Good to see that one get a mention, I think it's one of 'THE' most exotic orchestral scores I've ever heard, absolutely gorgeous!
