Everyone once and a while (Perhaps more so for me) I hear stuff I want and it doesn't get released, so I track down the poor composert and bug him. But sometimes I cannot find him and/or her. Here is a small list that a good google.com and soundtrack.net couldn't not help me with:
Haim Saban (Ghostbusters cartoon)
Shuki Levy (Same as above)
Thomas Wanker (Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 5 and 6)
Lolita Ritmanis (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, The Jutice League)
Michael McCuistion (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, The Jutice League)
Harry Manfredinis (For someone else)
Walter Murphy (Family Guy, Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 1)There are most I can't find. There were 2 more that I can't recall at the moment.

My claim to fame: I sat by Lolita Ritmanis at a dinner once. By the end of the evening, I was fairly drunk.

So, is she a "looker"?

One of the good things about movie music is that it doesn't really matter what you look like the way it does with pop, rock or R&B (when was the last time anyone on rec.music.movies said something like "I like Laura Karpman's music because she's hot!"?), but if you must know, Lolita's pictured here:

Walter Murphy's title cue for "Family Guy" is great. Wish we had it on CD.--Bri

Murphy took the scoring for Family Guy so seriously. If only he had used that style instead of synths on Buffy.
I remember this great cue that pretty much started off an episode where Stewie was dreaming about being some sort of secret agent on a train. Kind of Goldsmith-ish.

Did you notice that publicity shot of Shirley Walker looks like Randy Newman in drag?

Randy has so many teenage fans in LA, he has to go out in disguise, and use an assumed name. He doesn't have that problem in Europe though.(To prove the point: when was the last time you saw Shirley Walker in Europe? SEE?)

I ran into Randy at an airport this past summer just as he was being harassed by security. In the process, I inadvertently caught a glimpse of a shirtless Mr. Newman. Definitely not Shirley Walker... though he did have a lovely tan.-Doug

Interestingly enough, not a single answer.
Lolita isn't that bad-a.soundtrack.net is out of date for HM listing.

Hiya Doug!I really envy you and look forward to reading your book on THE LORD OF THE RINGS. This behind the scenes look on Howard Shore's film music magnum opus will allow the great masses to actually see the creative process and dramatic development in how Shore and Jackson saw the films musically.

Lolita Ritmanis and Michael McCuistion are currently writing (surprisingly uninspired) scores for Cartoon Network's "Teen Titans".On a business front, Haim Saban and Shuki Levy haven't had much to do since Saban Entertainment was absorbed by Disney. On a musical front...well, I think you'd better read this.
As for a composer that I'd love to contact, I gotta mention Amotz Plessner. Surely, someone else has heard of him.

Well, I found an e-mail for Wanker, at least one he used to use for during Buffy. I e-mailed him about a month ago. No reply, but also not bounce back saying e-mail doesn't exist.....Anyone able to help at all with these guys?

I haven't found that much on composer Nick Bicat. He did a wonderful score several years ago for a television adaptation of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" with Ian McKellan. Anyone might know something?

Yeah, www.nickbicat.comHere are my recommended search tips for looking for composers:
Step 1: Go to Google Search and type: "Nick Bicat" composer
Hit search and see if he has a official site (Only using Bicat as an example here)
Step 2: Failed? No site, okay, don't stress. Now add to those search words: contact
Step 3: Still nothing but pointless pages? Add: @
Maybe an e-mail addess will come up. I found an old e-mail for Wanker and Armstrong that way. To bad they bounced back.
Step 4: Still nothing huh? Do the first search again. Now you want to look for other composer who have worked with the one you are looking for. Do those above mentioned searches on them. Found something? Now e-mail them, they might know how to reach the composer you are looking for.
Step 5: Still dick after all this? Well, I assume you tried the obvious ones first: GSA Music, Soundtrack Music Associates, The Best and biggest lis of composers and their representation
Step 6: God? Are you still coming up empty? Welcome to my world! A few miscellaneous google search ideas: Singers he/she may have worked for. People that may have mastered their work for CD, directors that they may have worked for. Gosh, that may be about it.
Step 7: You're screwed if you didn't find anything. Sorry. And I can't believe Saban & Levy didn' write most of it. I did an imdb.com search and a google search, but didn't find any info on who the "hacks" were. Hopefully someone at this boards knows, or is one of the "hacks" hemselves.

Thanks to the reply at imdb:Henry Manfredini, Saban and Levy can be reached via: BMI and I got the phone #.
Walter Murphy's agency: The Jim PReminger Agency which a google search turned up a full address and phone.John Du Prez's agentcy: Bart-Milander Company got just a phone number. Barely anything from google.

Someone not mentioned is Robert Duncan who scored the last season of Buffy. There are some MP3 cues available from some of the last episodes that I think are simply amazing.

No we didn't forget. I myself have mentioned Duncan in a few threads. Making his name a link to his site.I suggested in another thread that he would have been an interesting choice for Spartacus 2.
I look forward to his future efforts.

Still looking for some of these people.this time, for a different reason. I created a site, not unlike composernet (Which I didn't discover until 2 days after creating mine. Damnit.) and mine is bascially for composers that I enjoy the work of (and others who I may, or may not) that do not have web pages. And cannot be reached or found easily.
I got Danny Lux confimred and I am awaiting responses from a few composers and am going to try some more. Like Amotz, in a few days.

Justin's doin' the legwork! I absolutely treasure my Weatherby LP by Nick Bicat. Any woman named Lolita is bound to be a looker (I almost wrote hooker), unfortunately for all us fanboys, this Lolita is married so it's a case of two in the family who are scoring

Legwork is old newspaper slang for running around following leads for stories. You've been contacting every obscure modern composer in the book, so, you've been doing legwork. The composer I want found is Elliot Frampton so I can hear his rejected score for the Hooty the Owl movie

I was joking. I know what legwork is.Elliot Frampton? Not in imdb.com and a google search only turned up 2 pages and neither of which I think are it. You pulling my leg?

Justin is a message board fiend. He visits no other part of any website aside from its message board. Therefore, any reference to a character in the "Composed and Conducted" comic strip on this site will be woefully misunderstood.Thumbs up, Lou!
If there's any rejected score I want, that's the one.

Yeah, Elliot Frampton is the composer featured in the comic strip shown here on the site. His first gig in a long time was scoring a cartoon Hooty the Owl and no sooner did he score it than it was rejected anyway. So it was a gag (I put an eyewink by it) made even funnier by your not catching it and actually looking for the guy!! Sorry to put you through the, uh, legwork.
