Name your favorite scores that have, in your opinion of course, the best jungle sounds, I mean music.

This is what ocurred to me:

    Williams The Lost World
    Goldsmith Congo
    Williams Jurassic Park
Williams Raiders of the Lost Ark
    Horner Mighty Joe Young
    Zimmer The Lion King
    Williams Amistad

As you may notice, most of my selections are pretty known works, and modern, the oldest thing there is the Indiana Jones movie. What am I missing? Others ould benefit as well

    NP. Bach Goldberg Variations
    Glenn Gould, piano

You'd definitely need to add Rosza's score to THE JUNGLE BOOK, especially a recording with narration by Sabu. It's a never-diminishing delight.

White Witch Doctor--Herrmann--maybe the all time greatest jungle main title ever.

I hear that the "Film Music Society" is getting ready to release the OST from acetates for their elite few? This is a score that I'd love to own in some form, but the Varese re-recording is difficult to find at a reasonable price in the USA.

'Baboon Chase' from Tarzan (Mark Mancina) is as jungle as it gets baby.

Also - 'Monkey Memmories' from Being John Malkovich (Burwell).

    Morricone:

    The Mission
    Nostromo.

    Especially the latter.
