I was just listening to Moviola and it made me realize again what a superb and unique composer John Barry is. Strangely the fame of this great composer has slowly faded away. How is he doing right now? And why don't filmmakers of big epic films contract him anymore? I'm sure his unique style of big epic scoring still attracts practically everyone nowadays.

He is set to do the score to an animated feature "The Incredibles" next year but sadly he doesn't seem to have done much, if anything, since "Enigma". Maybe Mr. Barry has decided to focus his attentions more on his young son and his own health rather than continue to do more work in a film music world that sadly seems to appreciate his unique style less and less these days.Gae

Afraid your behind on the news Gae as Barry is already off The Incredibles and Michael gianchinno is in ( or however his name is spelt).I (probably more than many here on the board) would love to hear something new from Barry but it just ain't happening!

I think we all know that Ghinacinno or however you spell it is the better composer, anyway.
