Purpose of this thread: to continue the Goldsmith/Tyler war.

Usefulness of this thread on December 11, 2003: none.
Usefulness of this thread on April 1, 2004: some.

When Jeff joked about a similar thing in another thread, it was just a funny cheapshot.Posting a whole thread about this is on a completely different scale.

They do. Perfect reason to avoid useless provocation like this thread.

Dinko, I sincerely apologise. In future I shall aim to be as conciliatory as you.

I shall begin by considering my all-time favourite City of Prague Philharmonic re-recordings.

I don't see what that has to do with anything.

I thought James's post was kinda funny, too. I really doubt he had inflammatory intentions...at worst, the thread was utterly pointless... is that really so bad?

Hehehe... So did I! Seriously guys, do you really have to be that serious around here? Can't we make a joke about the Tyler-Goldsmith 'war'? You're lucky my father didn't find out about moviemusic's message boards yet, LOL!

But honestly, we don't live in Vienna at the time of the Brahms-Brückner controverse anymore. This doesn't have any political consequences, only at the worst, you'll find a new aggressive anti-Tyler or anti-Goldsmith clan. And for my part, after hearing a lot of Goldsmith and only 'Children Of Dune' by Tyler, I have to say that I like both of them ^_^

It was a little funny, but not worthy of all the critisizen it recieved. I assume I spelt "critisizen" wrong. Dictionary is in the next room gosh darnit.

And I also assume I stumped Southall on those rejected score questions. Nah nah.
