    From the wires:

    quote:

Hungarian Oscar-nominated cinematographer Lajos Koltai says he will direct his first big-budget feature film, "Fateless," the haunting book by 2002 Nobel Literature Prize winner Imre Kertesz, in December.

Koltai said Italian composer Ennio Morricone, famous for his spaghetti-western soundtracks, would write the film's score, while Hungarian Gyula Pados would lead the photography.

Oh, and did someone say the score features vocals by Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance?

Does this mean there's finally a release of this score without that irritating copy control junk on it?

New Morricone is always welcome. The film is playing in Detroit at the Art Institute Film Theater soon.

Score of the year. Had it been up for an Oscar, I think this would have been Morricone's year.

Yes, the score is quite lovely. I hope I get to see the film some day.
