No word yet. The US Various Artists release has one score cut, whilst the UK version has three. Still, it's not enough...

Obviously they have changed the relase date on Beyond Borders from the 11th to the 18th. Oh, well, I guess I will have fun buying two CDs (Beyond Borders and Alias) and one DVD (Tomb Raider 2) on the 18th.

    Perfect Score, The: (John Murphy)

And that it better be with a movie name like that. Watch out Murphy.

RE: The Perfect Score, that trailer doesn't exactly seem to inspire great music. That said, I do have some fave scores from collegeteen movies (as that movie happens to be), but...I'm not holding my breath, despite some stuff from Murphy of late that I've heard and dug.

As for LOVE ACTUALLY, I saw it yesterday and there's disappointingly very little in the way of Craig Armstrong compositions. The entire score seems built around a singular theme, which in and of itself hints at being built off of/around an existing song that, 24 hours later, now escapes me (it might've been "All You Need is Love"). However, said piece - if played ad nauseum - does evoke a few very nice moments and is quite lovely to listen to, particularly during the closing passages of the film. But as a big Craig Armstrong fan I was hoping more for a full score that would be available on an album. I'd say that one cut would be enough to encompass 80 percent of this score, which I'm pretty sure is what the inevitable one cut we'll end up with will be.
