Heads up to all in the London area. Ennio Morricone is giving a concert on the 10th of November in the Royal Albert Hall to mark his 75th birthday, with the Rome Symphony Orchestra.
Booking can be made from the Albert Hall Website.

It doesn't list any programme details, sadly. Still, I'm booking myself a ticket anyway.

A rare UK concert by arguably one of the world's greatest film composers, Ennio Morricone. He is well known for his classic film scores and has over 400 titles to his name including 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly', 'Cinema Paradiso' and 'The Untouchables'. Morricone will be conducting the Rome Symphony Orchestra on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

To mark Morricone's birthday, a short documentary about the man and his work will be screened before the concert, from 6.30pm (doors open 5.45pm). Admission to the screening is free with a valid concert ticket.

Well, I'll be sure to give you all the full report after the event. The docu starts screening at half six, but the concert proper doesn't start until 8, so I'm not sure how long it'll be. I'm very excited, though.

Wicked! It does seem to be pretty much the same program as on the upcoming DVD.

    I can't wait.
