I heard a while back that Rolfe Kent wrote the music for this, but then I find out at the IMDb that David Newman did the score.

Can anyone who saw the film verify? Also, how is the music?

It was David Newman alright. The score was nothing special, but worked fine in the film. The end title was made up of bits and pieces of the score -- no pop song!

Danny DeVito actually finished DUPLEX -- he was not the original director on the film, if I recall correctly. Chances are that Rolfe Kent was originally attached to the picture, but David Nemwn travels with DeVito, so Kent was nixed.

Anyone else hate this movie and its concept?

From the moment I saw the trailer, I knew I would despise this film. My reasons:

    1) Yet another "Ben Stiller as a nice guy visited by ludicrous amounts of would-be comic hardships that may be funny to most people (read: idiots), but are simply uncomfortable to me" type of comedy (using this term very loosely, mind you). The film's poor box office showing gives me hope for the world: finally, everyone is as sick as these kinds of movies as I am. Is it just me, or are THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY and MEET THE PARENTS the two most overrated comedies of the last ten years?

    2) The film looks too derivative of THROW MOMMA FROM THE TRAIN and THE WAR OF THE ROSES.

It breaks my heart to see David Newman on another crappy film this year. Here's hoping that THE CAT IN THE HAT (anything combining the talents of Newman and Bo Welch has to be good, right?) breaks the pattern.

Speaking of the wonderful film Meet The Parents, could someone please tell me what was funny about that movie? I barely laughed at all...

Anyway, Duplex looked like it might have its moments, but something about it made it look really bad, not sure what though. Did anyone actually see this movie? If so how was it?
