I said "simple" translation--Perhaps I should have said "simplistic". All the same, there's room for stretching.

Oh look now! I didn't want to start a debate on the soundness of the line. Let all opinions reign in the courts of our own consideration, and let Doug come back and tell us a little more about what he knows!

When I was at the sessions last month I saw a bit over an hour of the film set to score and it’s phenomenal. I’d love to spill my guts, but I can’t at this point. I know the anxiety is cruel, but just bear in mind, it’ll all be worth the wait.Shore has crafted something of genuine lasting worth. The score has all the heart and intellect one could ever hope for. You’ll be proud to be a film music fan this December.
That's all I can say right now. Sorry!

After reading Doug’s intriguing comments, I’m salivating. No, I’m really drooling.
Alas, I’m sloshing up to my ankles in my own spit.Oh, the cruel wait.

Joan, you just about summed it up for me. I really respect our silent but knowledgable friend Doug - I couldn't maintain his disciplined silence if I were in his position.

Doug, thank you for your generousity, willingness, and desire to want to contribute as much as you have. You do it with humility and class, which deserves top marks in my book.

From Lights Out Entertainment :The Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King: A new correspondent over at Fox got a chance to see 20 minutes of this Christmas's final Lord Of The Rings film. Here's what he had to say:
Early last evening I got to see about 20 minutes of "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," Peter Jackson's third and final installment in his epic rendering of the Tolkien books.
One thing that jumped off the screen right away: Howard Shore 's terrific score seems even better used in "Return." And Jackson has grown even more accomplished with his special effects and CGI.

Here's something of interest. Check out the clip "Boromir at the Council." A cool, extraordinarily clean rip from the Extended FOTR DVD, highlighting the Gondor theme used for Boromir.J

I like that DVD rip of the Lament for Gandalf. That is one piece of music I'd been hankering for for some time.NP Sinbad (very good soundtrack)

Apparently, "That last bit of music is indeed the "Gondor" theme from Howard Shore, as integrated into a piece called "Epicalypse" composed by Simone Benyacar and Craig Stuart Garfinkle. All of them share publishing on the piece. The regular version of "Epicalypse" will be used in the TV campaign for the film." Dan Goldwasser
