... City Slickers is an excellant Shaiman score.

My first Shaiman score. To my knowledge I had never seen a movie scored by him.

    Comments anyone?

I agree with you. This is a fun score. Shaiman knows how to compose comedic music that is just FULL of energy, and I like the main theme. Check out his *61 for another melodic score.

Haven't heard City Slickers, but City Slickers 2 is great. Love some of the track titles too.

City Slickers is an EXXXXcellent score by Shaiman, blah blah blah. Oops, sorry. Thought it said Mock my words.

It is a good score though.

    Cute. :-)

I had no intention if seeing "The Cat In The Hat: The Movie" but thought about renting it to hear Marc's score, but then I remembered he had been replaced. Well sh!t.

I will check out *61. Thanks for the info.

I saw City Slickers on tv the other night. So, if they show City Slickers 2, I will be sure to tune in since CS:1 was good and the score was.

Did "City Slickers" get a score CD release?

    Thank you Jeron.

PeterK, does Jeron win a free CD for mentioning? Just kidding.

Man, if I wasn't so damn broke I'd buy it too. It'll be one of the first 10 CDs I buy when I get a job again.

    Other fine Shaiman efforts:

(The) Addams Family (beautiful themes and clever interpolation of Mizzy's theme)
    (The) First Wives Club

I'm not a big Shaiman fan - Misery is probably the most boring score in my entire collection, I think it was his first score - but City Slickers 2 and The American President are definately my favourites of his. TheAP in particular - what a great main theme! Ghosts of Mississippi is Ok too.
