I just this last week picked up "Marnie" and "The Trouble with Harry"--the re-recordings by Joel McNeely from Varese. I had to put down the Torn Curtain Unused Score because of cash flow problems. Besides that, and the re-recordings of "vertigo" and "Psycho", and the original complete release of "North by Northwest" (FIVE Herrmann scores I have from Hitchcock now), what do you suggest? I'm having trouble locating anything I can find in a store.

(FYI.... I do not have a credit card, so I can't order online here...sorry, Peter)

A few non-Hitchcock Herrmanns to get you started:

    • 7th Voyage of Sindbad (Varese Sarabande re-recording, Royal Scottish National Orchestra with John Debney conducting)
    • The Ghost and Mrs Muir (another Varese re-recording, though the original is also still around)
    • Taxi Driver (Arista)

And the list goes on and on and on...

The two Herrmann compilations conducted by Gerhardt (on RCA) and Salonen (on Sony) are highly recommended, and a very good starting point too.
