In the Walt Disney Concert Hall (link) website thereīs not info on tickets just a phone number to call. Has anyone found out how much is gonna cost this? About the black tie thing, do I really have to rent a tuxedo?

About the music, I already like what the program might be like, seems most if not all of the music will come from the movies: Korngold, Newman, Rozsa, Waxman, Steiner, Herrmann, North, Bernstein, and Goldsmith. Josh Groban and Audra McDonald will be in hand to perform classic songs from the movies.

I get the feeling Salonen will conduct most of the instrumental portion, and Williams will do his "Pops" act like they do in Tanglewood when the BSO and the BPO perform in the same concert.

Anyway, I hope itīs not that expensive.

Somebody please smuggle a minidisc recorder in there!

I'd love to hear Salonen conduct some more film music.
I guess there's no chance that Deutsche Grammophon might actually tape this.

I don't think you have to rent a tux, but I think at the very least 'shirt & tie' would be appropriate. This is a gala concert after all. I don't imagine them liking it much if you show up there in a Batman t-shirt and Adidas shorts as you might for any other concert in the regular season.
