A Q&A with the composer is up. http://www.thetimelinemovie.com/archive/07-15-03.phpOf course, little light is shed on the circumstances regarding his getting the gig. But he has interesting things to say in his own right.

Brian Tyler continues to impress, even just in interviews. He has such great respect for his own art of film scoring but also seems to have a huge wealth of knowledge when it comes to orchestral music in general. For him to know so much about 14th composers in such detail is astounding, since there are other film composers who probably don't know what orchestral music was written only 14 years ago.

Another shamless plug for Brian's site, which I've recently added 4 samples from 5 scores, including VAMPIRES: LOS MUERTOS.

Slightly off topic...but I got a chance to see the preview for Timeline on the Narc DVD last night (great movie by the way.)This is one that will either by very good or horrifically bad. Too early to tell.
Either way, here's to hoping that Tyler's work is excellent in either case.
