Premature, unrecorded and still a project, but skip over to the Chandos Records forum and you can read this little bit from the Chandos 'moderator':

    quote:
Yes a disc of Film Music with the BBC Philharmonic and Rumon Gamba is being planned at this moment.

    then:

    quote:
A complete Korngold Film Score is being considered for this disc as I write but for commercial reasons we cannot say which.

I notice that on the 16th August at the BBC Proms Rumon Gamba is conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra in a programme entitled "Great British Film Music".

    The programme includes:

    Oliver Twist - Bax
The Cruel Sea (themes) - Rawsthorne
The Belles of St Trinian’s "comedy suite" - Arnold
    Things To Come - Bliss

+ "music by leading living British film composers Sir Richard Rodney Bennett and John Barry"

Maybe this gives us an idea of what the Chandos disc may include?

So they still haven't made up their mind what to put on the disc? (Or perhaps they have, but are keeping it secret).
