... or so it has been reported at Film Score Monthly. 15 tracks, about 54 minutes.

No word on when the physical CD will be available for purchase, but at least it seems like a decent length!

    Mark.

It's a closed system that you have to license to develop for. It costs too much for what you get. They used to require that you buy special tools from them to service the stupid things which could only be done by authorized service centers.

A lot of people who use Macs are snobs and think that Apple is God and can do no wrong despite the fact that they screwed thier loyal customers in the past.

They look down on us "poor plebians" forced to use "inferior" PCs.

Other than that, not a thing.

I used to listen to those superior Mac-minds.

Then one day a couple of years back I was at the university computer lab. All the PCs were taken, I needed a computer, pronto. I was forced to use a PowerMac G4 or some such thing. Boy that was horrible.

A keyboard I had to use my pencil to type on, a screwy mouse, and boy was it sssslllloooooowwwww. My old PC with a lame Intel 486/66mhz was faster than that brand new G4.

Oh yeah, and it froze 3 times in one hour. That beat my old Windows record of 1 freeze every hour.
Most Macs were never in use at the computer lab - everyone hated them because... well Macs sucked!

Apple computers are only good for creating and maintaining porn sites.

The old PC vs Mac debate: My window pops up faster than yours!

    or

What does PC stand for? Poached Chip?

If it were not for the prohibitive pricing and the limited availability of gaming software, Macs would certainly occupy more desktops than they do.

Besides, Macs have that je ne sais quoi that you just can't buy at Wal-Mart.

(I wish there were a Tallulah Bankhead emoticon)

Wal-Mart? That's the store that sells evil South Korean Daewoo/Daytek computers.

Just to confirm earlier rumors/reports, Varese's site now states that LXG can be ordered directly from their site. No word on price though. Release date is listed as 7/29/03.

G4 models came out this year, not couple year. Mac is the best for graphics and for those who don't need much maintenance.
You're either have giant hand to not have been able to type, or you really suck . Early PowerPCs sucked but since the new ibook and powerbook came out with the redesign in the last 2-3 year, computing power rivals others. Most Art School uses it for their art stuff and it has almost no rival. I used to hate MAC but then I worked at the MAC lab in my art school and I was converted.
The debate is useless. Mac are for graphic users. PC are for other usage. I should know. I'm using the both my IBM laptop and my PC for my graphic design work and I wish I have a 17" Power book. And check it, a fully loaded, top-of-the-line, best-of-all-laptop-models-available, Dell M50 is more expensive than a 17" powerbook with all the options, while offering similar performance level.

Not a Mac lover, but one who used both and knows better.

And what's all the rage over this release. No one have even seen the movie to really know whether it's really worth the purchase anyway. Get a grip people.

While I could care less about this score, my main concern is that a score that I do happen to care about could be released exclusively online in the future via this shitty service. This would make me an unhappy collector.

And "rage" would probably involve a shotgun or something, and I don't think this issue is quite of that magnitude.

As usual, you are miss the point. Given how intellient you are, you wouldn't know a serious issue if it bite you in the ass, IMHO fo cuorse. Now quit bitching and get over it.

Well, even if you don't plan on seeing the film, the score is a positively delight. An unexpected, and welcome surprise.

If you only weigh your anticipation for a score based solely on your anticipation of the movie its appended to, you'll be missing out on a terrific Jones score.

The film may be campy fun or it may be crap. One way of the other I am looking forward to the score, and I guess I would pay a premium within reason.

I can understand the anger of some folks...but look at this way...its better than no release at all.
