Oops! That should, of course, be Klaus Badelt *slash* Hans Zimmer. If anyone cares about the difference ...

James L. Venable gets two movies. He could be scoring action flicks and bigger stuff. SM3.

Where's Mark Snow? Shirley Walker? Joel Goldsmith?

You forgot Dennis McCarthy's "Die Moomy, Die"

Die, Mommy Die is not an upcoming movie, therefore it's not included in the list. It was shown at Sundance.

As far as I know there are no big assignments coming up for Mark, Shirley or Joel G at the moment. However, Joel did "Helen of Troy" for TV and Shirley had two theatrical features recently, "Willard" and "Final Destination 2". Mark Snow is working mostly in television and I don't include TV scores in my list.

I actually forgot to mention Bad Santa in my list. James L. Venable is scoring that one as well. Comedy starring Billy Bob Thornton, directed by Terry Zwigoff.

The post says upcoming SCORES, not movie, so that would fall into the correct category. Plus, you did the thread yourself, so you can do whatever ya want.

Wow. I figured that Teddy Castellucci was doing SCARY MOVIE 3; he's attached to David Zucker's other film this year - the utterly awful-looking MY BOSS'S DAUGHTER.

A huge cast and James Venable doing the music? This'd better be the best damn comedy ever made to utilize that much talent.

Also, does anyone know who's scoring DUMB & DUMBERER? They have the budget to hire someone and the film comes out in eight days, so I figure that they had to have gotten someone.

Of course he should have put up a disclaimer that all composers listed are subject to director/producer needs and that they could be replaced on the project at any time.

What are the odds that the list changes?

So, essentially what you're saying is "What's the use of posting info like this at all?"...?

You are so right. These days you need a disclaimer on a list like this. Anything can happen, obviously...

I do, however, try to update this list as often as possible. You can always visit our web site for the latest additions (and deletions!) - but I will post the list here at least once a month.

Haha, Mark, I found Steve's post to be quite sarcastic and humorous, in and of itself.

Actually, while being sort of dryly humorous, and not barbed at all, it was an intended question. (Or I'm not the only one who quips aorund here...)

The White Buffalo is a 1977 movie, not an upcoming one. This list does not refer to upcoming CD releases, it's all about new films and the composers doing the scores for them.

Hearing Barry's "OHMSS" in the preview for "The Incredibles" was more than amusing, so it's doubly amusing to find that he's actually doing the score...should be worthwhile.
