Just out of curiousity, does anyone happen to know the track listing for the 2CD Expanded Matrix Reloaded score?

    Cheers,

    Yup.

If you have this promo, then technically you have the track listing URL that Don gave out. Otherwise.... tsk tsk.

Another source of the promo did not supply a tracklist...

Either way, it's inevitable that collectors get their hands on these things, despite intelligent security measures.

Does track 2.10 have to do with Richard Chamberlain? I guess he wasn't the architect in The Towering Inferno, that was Paul Newman. But he's not gay. It must be "That old electrician is gay..."

I thought that's what this site was for - to ask questions and share information with a community of like-minded film music fans? STOP being so arrogant, Dan. I know I speak for everyone when I say: Get down off your high horse before we knock you down. People are tired of your snotty comments.

Some of those tracks are the funniest things I've seen in a while... '5 Year Plan' is the best description of the Morpheus monologue I've come across so far!

NP Little Women (Newman - is it just me or is the programming of track 22 to follow the incredibly moving track 21 one of the worst programming decisions ever made?)

Don Davis specifically set it up so that only people with legitimate promos would have access to the full track listing. If you want it so damn badly, ask him for one.

I'm not being arrogant; I'm respecting the wishes of a composer who I WORK FOR. If you have such a problem with that, then that's really YOUR problem - not mine.

The headedness is so thick today we might have to cancel school this afternoon.

The issue: Not everyone knows as much as dgoldwas.

The point: When dgoldwas "has" to speak to the dumbth nation of movie music dorks like me, it's always to the nasty tune we've heard time and again. Why not speak to the masses in a way they might think is way cool? Dunno... must be easier, safer to be virtually mean. That's the spirit.

The resolve: dgoldwas, in his infinite wisdom, should know of the possible kind of participation on these boards that might actually have us dorks liking him in the end.

The problem: either a) dgoldwas doesn't want people to like him, or b) dgoldwas has a desperate need to talk down to the dumbth nation of movie music idiots like me... because.... we... I... don't work for a composer or a used car company? Dunno.

If a) then we just sigh. Every village has its person who loves to be hated, and hates everyone for contributing to their wish.

If b) then we just sigh. Our own self-appointed greatness is measured in ways too inexplicable for dorks like me to understand.

Ok, now I am stuck. Either I am so stupid, proving dgoldwas's point that we are all fools, or I have more important things I should be paying attention to (ooooh, I am soo close to greatness now).

Come on you great people. Cool off. And if your name is dgoldwas, please, we already know your greatness. Let this one fizzle, por favor.

I know that some composers come to this site (or others), but with conversations like these, it's no wonder they're so quickly dissuaded from posting.

Not that anybody needs to read what I have to say, but really Dan, my apparent boyfriend said it all. You can't just mention something like a "Golden Fanboy Website" and expect nobody to want to know more about it.

A wise man said (and I paraphrase to the point of creating my own thought), "You can have your tongue up as many composers' asses as you want, but you don't have to be sticking it out at everyone."

Dan's acquaintenances with composers and the information he has that sometimes he can't share makes him someone that dangles information over your heads? I've seen some of the people who are complaining about his attitude in this thread, ask him questions in others because they know he has "connections." I see EVERYONE'S point in this thread, however, I'm also seeing a lot of hypocrisy. It seems Dan is your bestfriend when he can provide information that you want, but when he decides to respect a composers wishes or keep certain information from leaking, he's someone who holds himself up high because of the info he can't share. It's unfair to him and the composers. Now you all can say his stern and quick to the point remarks are his attitude and that's just how he is, but personally, after seeing him burned so many times, I'm impressed the guy is still around to chat like he has been. This is pointed at no one in general of course...but I figured I would chime in because I see a good message board going down the drain with pointless arguments and finger pointing. How about we focus on FILM music. <<sigh>> Maybe this was pointless to post...infact, I'm almost certain it was

Dan's a nice guy. The real Justin here. ;-)

He may lack tact sometimes, but only sometimes and only a little tact, overall I'd say he is just holding his resposiblity and promises not to leak this stuff.

He's like "Ford Lite" without the laxative.

Oh and he can spell and use proper grammer.

Besides, all of us traders know we will have the real tracklist and 2CD promo set probably in a few months anyway. So why pester Dan over his duty?

You're right, Shaun. Though it's not a "surprise" I have the 2-CD set - anyone who has read anything MATRIX RELOADED related on this board over the past month or so would know that it's been no secret. Not my problem people have a short term memory like Dory in FINDING NEMO (awesome film - go see it!).

I should have kept my mouth shut - true. As is the case with most things on this board, I feel I can be helpful, but am then resented for it when I can't provide ALL the info you guys want. Steve asked if anyone happened to know the track listing. I did, and I mentioned that fact. At the same time, I was making you all AWARE that Don Davis does NOT necessarily want the track listing floating around.

So yeah, it will get out there in time, if not sooner than the few months Boggan predicted. But it won't be because of ME, and I know that Don Davis is appreciative of that fact, even if you all aren't.

    Dan

Crazy quote, Shaun. I swear I've heard it before.

Here's a not-to-original idea: how one says something can and often does matter more than what's being said. Hallelujah. I am repeating "The Point" from my earlier post. Maybe this time it will make some sense.

Specifically in this thread, we've read:

"Otherwise.... tsk tsk" and "ignorance is bliss"

These quotes win few friends and coolness awards, and they win many comments exactly like those from Steve H.

Dan. Be cool every once in a while. If not humanly possible, start a freekin' message board at soundtrack.net already. You won't need to hate us all from the start for not "knowing everything." A relief for us, and a relief for you, for sure. Who knows, a board may even help soundtrack.net's traffic rebound. It's been pretty dismal lately.

    Good luck.

    Wow Peter, you're amazing!

Not only do you manage to tell me how to behave and what to do with my own site, but you still manage to get your jab in at SoundtrackNet!

As for my quotes, I love your selectiveness. Would you like me to pull out some classic PeterK quotes that are unprofessional and "win few friends and coolness awards"?

And Peter, I HAVE been "cool every once in a while". Look at many of the other threads I've posted to in the past week. This is the only one with an "argument" going on, and honestly, if you really READ it, Steve started the mudslinging. Do we REALLY need to get Joe Rixman back in here to do a play-by-play to show everyone?

And the fact you seem to think I "hate you all from the start" is sad and pathetic. I don't hate anyone here - not even YOU. Sadly, that sentiment is clearly not shared when you seem to take any opportunity to jump all over me.

As Justin and Clayton kindly pointed out above (and Joe pointed out in the Dark Crystal thread), hypocrity runs rampant on this board - so every once in a while, flare-ups like these are bound to happen. But hey - it's your board. I'm sure you could run it really well if you wanted to.

    Dan

PS - Alexa isn't exactly the most reliable ranking system out there, but I appreciate your veiled concern nonetheless. Tell me, dear Peter, if I had a message board - would you post? Oh please, do say yes.......

Goddman, do I have to be the one to say this?!

    Children! Behave!

Peter, like you Dan, takes things the wrong way sometimes and kind of twists it. I have experienced this, other have, hell there was even a thread and Peter quietly moved it to the Junk Yard were it promptly died.

Dan, I read the messages, I re-read the messages, PeterK was not telling you how to run your board. He was making some helpful comments. PeterK may have also flubbed when he said said:

Here's a not-to-original idea: how one says something can and often does matter more than what's being said.

and then proceeded to contradict himself:

"If not humanly possible, start a freekin' message board at soundtrack.net already."

So just relax people. Take the bill and we'll see how far down this butt hole goes, Neo. ;-)

The appreciate the information Dan provides, not his attiitude. Why does one have to go hand-in-hand with the other?

Let's drop it now, eh? I just hope Dan takes these comments on board.
