Varese Sarabande will release Marco Beltramiīs score for TERMINATOR 3 - RISE OF THE MACHINES on June 24th. There are rumours of an up to 45 minutes release. Huge orchestra and choir work has been recorded - apparently Beltrami has used Fiedelīs famed theme after all, according to Music from the Movies.Philipp

If T3 is any good, I'll be really, really surprised. How many times has a good guy "talked down" a "possessed" friend/villain from killing them? You know, "remember? I'm you're friend"? Then a single tear drops down possessed friend's cheek, before they break free of their spell.
Watch as John Connor does the exact same thing, as the T-100 is re-programmed to kill him! Ooh! Ahh! But, at the very last moment, he gets through to the ROBOT, who quickly snaps out of it.
Terrible, terrible.

I guess your glass is half empty Ryan. Good luck enjoying the movie if you are already crapping on it because of a 5-second snippet of dialogue from the trailer.Taken as a whole, the trailer has me cautiously optimistic that this will be a fun two-hour, sci-fi action flick...which is all it should be.
Will it be as good as T2...no. Does it have to be...not really.

For a second there when it said it was going to get a Varese treatment I thought for sure he meant.....New From Varese Sarabande:
The best score ever written! One of Beltrami's best. It is pure digital fun. Not much unlike the first digitally recorded score ST: TMP ;-)
The masterpiece comes on a two disc set featuring 30 tracks! Disc one features songs heard in tiny bits from the film and also songs that were not in the film!
The second disc boasts more songs not related to the film and 30 minutes of score by Beltrami himself! That's right! 10 whole cues from the superior master himself!Watch T3 this summer and see Arnold battle his latest Nemesis ... and see the cool new ... villan.....

be about 35-40ish with some songs.NP: Le Train(Sarde)

More importantly.... the 19th track titled "The Terminator" is Beltrami's rendition of the theme. It must be anyway since it is "from the motion picture the terminator composed by brad fidel", should be pretty cool. Glad to see it is infact on the release.Rich

Open To Me is performed by Dillon Dixon, & is a Beltrami composition - the two have also worked together on songs for Scream & Mimic (at least).
I might have to get me a copy of this at some point.

I'm confused -- is that "The Terminator" track actually from the T3 score, or is it tacked on there to placate TERMINATOR geeks?Ryan

Ryan,
It's a new orchestral recording arranged and conducted by Beltrami. I think what varese meant is that it contains Fiedel's theme from The Terminator.Jeff
