I am listening to Thomas Newman's score for Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo. Nice Newman for sure. However:

One minute into track three "Nemo Egg" I thought I was under some stun-gun attack. I thought "What the hell is happening to poor Nemo as he hatches from his egg?" The track completely degenerated into one of the most massive defects I've ever heard... total digital demise... sounding like slow motion, high-voltage shocking. Pretty cool... poor Nemo.

Now that I think about it, I see there is actually a physical defect with the CD... a dimple, not unlike a very small golfball dimple, on the laser-side of the CD.

Anyone else? Maybe I have a rare soundtrack that will go for untold hundreds on Ebay. "The soundtrack version the label doesn't want you to hear.... Nemo shocked and shocked again... Animals were harmed in the making of this score!!"

    Hahah. Good afternoon, friends.

My disc is fine... sounds like yours is just an isolated defect case.

Hey, it would not be the first time pressing issues have occurred, nor will it be the last.

No sh*t, Brian. I was pointing out that Peter's defect isn't found generally on the other pressed discs, and is likely an isolated occurance.

I never said it was the only defect ever to occur.

    Sheesh!

Better keep your comments to yourself Bri, lest you be set upon by rabid... whatevers

Peter, put it up on Ebay. I'm sure some idiot - er, soundtrack collector - will pay you hundreds for it.

Similar thing happened to me when I got Williams' Harry Potter on the End Credits, and then again one year later when I got ...Chamber of Secrets on the last track "Harry's Wondrous World".

    Amazing.
