    Folks,

Erik Lundborg, the composer/orchestrator who has been working quite a lot for Don Davis, has written the original score for the new "Enter the Matrix" game.

    Interesting article on this URL:

    He did a good job.

I completed the game with both characters (on X-Box) rather quickly. It's and incredibly flawed and rushed game with a few nice points.

It is more worthy of a rental than an outright purchase unless you can get it for a good price. It's more than a typical instant movie cash in, but whilst it remains ambitious it is rather poorly executed in general. It remains another Matrix tie-in Joel Silver needed to calm down over hyping to the level of it sounding like the second coming (though he continues his ramblings with his fawing over the forthcoming, and just as average looking, 'The Matrix Online' game shown at E3)...

The music (the greater part of the music is in fact just re-orchestrations of Matrix, and to a larger extent, Matrix Reloaded motifs) and the sound in the game are actually the best thing about it. Don't approach the game expecting a blatant new score though.

To deem it an "original score" is a bit of a stretch and it's not something the likes of us would be demanding a CD release of, but again, he did a fine job and provided one of the game's few saving graces.

What about the songs in the game? I know one is Fluke's ATOM BOMB. What about the rest?

And YES I WOULD like a cd release of the game's music. The game IS rushed but it is still great if you "buy" into the Matrix narrative.

    So...

At the risk of fueling paranoia of my impending CD burn of all the music from the ENTER THE MATRIX game....I have a question.

Can anyone tell me the levels where a rave-techno song is played?

For instance the first time is right before the forklift crashes into the wall in the post office or another time is in the revolving restaurant...where else?

I'm making a soundtrack for MYSELF and I don't want to miss any tracks. I'm pretty anal about this kinda stuff and the music score AND songs are great!

    Help!

I cannot answer your question; however, I'd be interested in a copy, if it would be possible.

    Let me know.

Okay so I'm still working on my own copy of the ENTER THE MATRIX score and I have over 700megs of music...but....

I lost the title of one of my tracks. I'd lost one before and found that one but now misplaced another.

I was hoping that someone here could help me by telling WHERE IN THE GAME THIS MUSIC OCCURS. Mr. Davis if you read this....HELP!!!

Please cut and paste the link to download the mp3 of the track.
    http://jmichaelowen.tripod.com/matrixtrack.mp3

Again this is not for me to sell. My own personal use.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    meegle,

That piece is played so often in various portions of the game that it would be impossible to title the track.

And again, I would be interested in a copy of the CD, no need for payment transaction, we can simply do a trade.

I'd love to trade with you...but...I'd really have to finish the disc first. In order to finish it I'd like to find where this track is played in the game OFTEN OR NOT. I've been looking and looking and found snippets of it scattered throughout but NOT in its entirety.

I'm curious if the game switches tracks somewhat randomly meaning that it won't always play the same exact track all the time during a certain part. I've noticed that the music DOES change if you run and stays somewhat low and slow (sometimes) if you stay still.

    Anyway....HELP!!!

I dunno man... the score in the game sounded all the same to me with subtle differences in places. It was almost no different than davis' music from the first matrix IMO, same vibe I mean. Good luck in finding that name!

    meegle,

The game music was made to switch tracks and tempos to the player's actions.

That track sounds like it may be from the Rooftop levels, where Niobe and Ghost are running away from the Agent.

    Joseph you rock!!!
    But...

I'll check again but I think only parts of the track you downloaded is on that level.
I don't think 1:07 to the end of the track is on that level though. i may be wrong though...

    Thanks!!!

If not the Rooftop levels, then may be the sewer level.

And when your ready with the CD, give me an email about a trade: jbat@w00tproductions.com
