Visit http://www.musicfromthemovies.com to read about Marco Beltrami's score for Terminator 3!

The score was recorded with a 94 piece orchestra, a 30 piece choir, 13 percussionists and electronic sounds. And Beltrami has done an orchestral arrangement of Brad Fiedel's theme! Can't wait to hear it!

Marco spoke at USC recently, and said that he doesn't use Fiedel's theme in the film, and it only shows up at the end during some of the end credits.

To my memory even Fiedel didn't use his theme except in the beginning and end credits. Did it ever play within either of the two Terminator movies?

Well, it certainly showed up a buncha times during TERMINATOR! (Love scene, anyone?)

During T2, though, its use was a little more sporadic and sparse, but it was hinted at more than used full-on, if memory serves. (I reserve the right to be wrong.)

Yea, the mental permafrost has set in. I can't recall the love scene arrangement but I do now remember the slow dirge-like treatement the theme got while Arny is lowered into the hot metal in T2.

Yes, and if you read my interview you will see that it's unclear whether they will actually use it at all: "As it stands now, if they decide to use my updated version of the T2 theme, it will be only in the end credits and even this I cannot promise."

Still, Marco promises that he will include the theme on the score album from Varèse Sarabande. So we will get to hear his orchestral version after all - if he use all of the 13 percussionists in that version I'm sure it will be a very cool version!

So far, the coolest version of the theme was performed by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra from their "THE GREAT FANTASY/ADVENTURE ALBUM" A magnificent performance and recording!

I can't wait to hear what Beltrami has done with his own score.
