John Scott recently watched the classic silent "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" without any music and thought it was 100% better than the two previous versions with original scores. He then thought it would be even better if he added his own more dramatic score, so he did... and the premiere of this work is on May 18 in the foothills near Pasadena. See John Scott conduct the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra in a performance of his greatest movie music, along with the premiere of his newest original score, to be played live to projection of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."No click tracks or streamers involved... can he do it? Do attend if possible. A great experience like this happens very rarely.

Yes I saw this on Scott's website, and I really wish I could go! I really want to hear his Dr. Jekyll music.By the Way. Scott composed 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in 1997 not 87. But I know this is just a copy and paste.

Very nice man, John Scott. I used to run into him often at one of the local record stores.

Anyone know if Scott will ever release his new score the silent film? Would re-use fees apply in this case? I don't think anyone hired Scott to write the music so he should own it right?
