Not too crazy about the play-by-play Joe has volunteered, as it's pretty subjective, but I understand why he did it. Just as with the 'Instant Messenger' phenomena, this damn message board is proving to be a very poor vehicle for relaying tone and intent. Too much gets lost or misinterpreted, and this is what ends up happening.

Dan, will either of us either learn? I accept responsibility for my part of this, hands down. I'm not out to dephile you or debunk your posts/threads or change social opinion. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I support what you're doing w/ film music industry schtuff. You're good at what you do, and the information you choose to interject with from time to time is welcome, as I have always welcomed it. I do not take issue with it.

Dan, Joe: I would respond to everything each of you wrote in your lengthy retorts (where I am concerned), but I'd rather not drill the hole any deeper. As a show of good faith, I'll just drop it.

Apologies to all who took what I said in a 'negative' or 'offensive' way. I wasn't out to attack anyone, and this is definitely not the end result I was hoping to attain.

I'm outta here. Have a good week.

    Jeron

Hey Dan, why do you even bother with the nimrods here? Free yourself already. Go eat some more beans.

As for Ford's explanation, I know some people who would give a slightly different perspective, but whatever. It don't matter, and shouldn't, although it's funny to note that without Jones' involvement, the release was still exponentially delayed. I AM glad Ford thinks his release is "rather good." Goof.

Joe, you may have gotten the wrong idea about me. My intention wasn't to make any snide remarks about my "brilliance." I was responding in the same attitude as Dan's. Only when I sensed Dan's self-important attitude kicking in, did I respond to be an ass myself. I don't hate Dan. I've no reason to. But I feel that I can make fun of him if he begins to sound as silly as he did, and I also know that if I do, it's not gonna affect him, as he's a thick-skinned individual.

I also have a good feeling that Dan shares this sentiment, as his remarks were appropriately "snide" but not hateful. Obviously Dan sees how silly the whole thing is... with the back and forth, yadda yadda yadda... so nothing is taken seriously.

And I quoted "sh*t" from Dan himself, not in response to Jeron, about his not giving a "sh*t" about my opinion. Cussing is unattractive and should be used sparingly, dammit.

So I hope you didn't get the wrong idea about me, Joe.

Ack, Dan, I had no idea this would flame out like this. No hard feelings were actually meant, honest.

And now for something completely different...

    Joe, thank you.

Jeron, no, you don't take issue with the messages, only the messenger.

Peter, my reasons for why I bother were detailed on the previous page.

Al, no hard feelings, but c'mon - that's still not a nice thing to say. (I didn't pick my name.)

    Later,
    Dan

I SO don't want to know the meaning behind that...

Jeron: You know I think you are one of the most kind hearted individuals around. The point of MY post was to show everyone how ridiculous things were getting...and how completely out of hand it was becoming. I think I know you better than to believe you were truly attacking anyone (I've seen you get annoyed though...so don't you deny it!!). Jeron is absolutely right about one thing...intent is very difficult to figure out without hearing tone...watching body language, etc...HOWEVER...as a poster...it is YOUR responsibility to note the "tone" of the entire thread you are posting to. You may choose to ignore it and simply post whatever or you can not join in and put an end to it. I think, Jeron, that you know well enough that your original post was NOT going to be accepted gracefully considering what was going on earlier in that thread. Soemtimes being a peacemaker ends up getting your fat in the fryer a lot faster (by the way, your's MUST be down to...what...6% now? GOOD JOB!!).

And, while I get the sense that all is forgiven (if not forgotten...no...we never forget...especially James and Jeron and their hideous attacks against FSM...DAMN YOU!), I think it is important for everyone to see how quickly a reaction can lead to, at best, confusion, and at worst, outright hostility...even if not intended...only perceived. After all, isn't our perception what we trust over anything else?

HUGS to all (except those two who will remain nameless...JERON AND JAMES...damn...did it again...)

    Joe
NP - still nothing...what's WRONG with me?? (be quiet Jeron)

Not even a hug, huh? I could say more...but I think you know where I'd go. My lips are sealed.

    YOUR? YOUR?

If so...then you left out a noun in that sentence.

Otherwise I'll take it mean "you're" or "you are."

Wow...so much for only looking at YOUR spell check.
