The link will take you to it. I've read the book but it's still difficult to tell if the movie will be anything from this quick teaser. The music sounds not very Goldsmith so I doubt that it's from the score.

LOOKS AMAZING... on top of that.. the brief scenes look just as I thought they would when I read the book.. looks like a damn fine transition from book to screen to me. Great teaser! The first part of the music is definately Powell's Bourne Identity score, not sure what the last half is.. could be original.

All this time in post production and all they can show us is a teaser trailer? I suppose it must be some sort of political thing since the film is still months and months from release. Is there some sort of unwritten rule saying that you don't release the real trailer in April when the movie comes out in November?

They don't want it to detract from other summer movies. It's a teaser. So, it teases. The film is done and in the can. It's gonna sit on a shelf for a few months, and in the meantime they're gonna keep teasing us about it. This is Paramount's big November release, and it's going up against THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS. So, give them credit for at least starting to wet your appetite NOW, instead of starting their marketing campaign in August.

Dan is right. However lets hope no one steals the idea from them (i.e. Deep Impact and Armageddon)

OK, that seems like a good reason. At least it gives somebody plenty of time to plan for a score release... right?

For the idea to be "stolen", the film would have to already have been in production, to meet a 2003 release date. Not to mention, the novel TIMELINE was released back in 1999, so there's been plenty of time for a knock-off.

Too late, TIMELINED, starring Dean Cain and Patrick Muldoon, shot on location in Prague, is slated for release from Columbia Tri-Star Home Video this July.

LOL -- Love the D.M.F. reference -- all in one movie making, right there in Prague!

It's a Crichton novel turned film.

Coma, The Great Train Robbery, Congo, 13th Warrior, and now... Timeline!

What a track record... it'll be great, no doubt about it.

Well, I believe this is a great chance for Goldsmith to come up with a mix of his sci-fi scores and some Camelot’s stuff … I can’t believe it! I forgot the name of the movie! I just remember Camelot or something, and a great goldsmith’s score. Yea! First Knight right? Yes, it is First Knight. Great score. I’m sure there’s a big probability to find a great score in this movie.

The teaser was ok for me, it seems interesting.
