And does it relate to your choice of music?

I was perusing the Astrology section of Yahoo, looking up my sign, SCORPIO, and this was what I found.

    quote:
Intense and with a sting, the Scorpion wants music they can dive into. For name alone, you should try Electronic Trance, by artists like Ghost in the Machine and trance control. For more mainstream Scorpios there are the danceable sounds of Moby, Orbital and the Chemical Brothers. In the P.M., pop in some contemporary R&B for a good time

the first sentence half explains my like of action music and Hans Zimmer (while It doesn't explain my fondness for his softer scores) along with my growing interest in drum & bass and some Linkin Park melodic stuff.

    What about you guys?

    My sign is intelligence.

    As a science-type person, I fully debunk all this astrology **** .

It means nothing to how your life is.

Although from a woman's point of view, my sign is always...

"With You? I'd rather kill myself."

    Do this, don't do that...

    Can't you read the signs?"

Some would say my sign is a deer sipping in a pool.

But it's really just an inkblot.

I also believe that the signs don’t say anything about you, I mean, if not even the genes and the external circumstances influence strongly enough when you take the decisions, your sign has nothing to do with your preferences, your decisions, actions, attitudes, etc. It is your inner Self, the self will who decides, who likes, who loves, etc.

I believe Hadrian, that you like Zimmer because your inner self likes it, regardless to the circumstances, day of birth, etc. Perhaps some circumstances have influenced you to like Zimmer’s scores, but it has been You, your inner Self, who has decided to like and accept his music, above any other circumstances. The day of your birth is not even an important circumstantial factor, therefore there’s no link between the day of your birth and your musical preferences. What it is possible, is to decide to like the composers or the sort of music that the horoscopes say you like, but remember, it is your decision, and not an infallible destiny. I personally rather to like the music that really makes me feel fulfilled, music that genuinely satisfies me, music that I accept just as I accept that 10 = 10. I accept that 10 = 10 regardless to the circumstances. That’s universality. Likewise, I try to like music listening to my universal taste.

I’m Aquarius by the way. And I insist: it is you the responsible for your preferences, not the circumstances, least of all the day of birth.

I'm a capricorn, and I don't see a relation to anything, nor any reason for it.

Chinese astrology is ever so much more fun don't you think? It's got all those cute animals and stuff; except, of course, for those of us who happened to have been born in the year of the snake or rat.

I, like Marian, am also a Capricorn. I, however, have seen enough of a pattern in methodology to believe that there is something to this astrology thing. In any event, my sign doesn't dictate what I listen to...just how I organize it...

    speaking of which...

mmmm... interesting response. I was curious about what it would say and was surprised by what was offered.
Now I'm amazed at how people took something that was rooted in fun and made a serious sidestep from it.
