Can anyone please help me? What is the title of the instrumental (dance) piece played at the house party in The Fast and the Furious. It's fairly near the start - when the female character (sorry-can't remember her name!) drops studying to go downstairs and party with her friends. Know what I mean? Please let me know - this has been dragging on a while and nobody seems to know what it is! P.S. it's NOT on the soundtrack!! Let me know . . . One (baffled) Curly Girly!!!

That was actually a temp track I believe they had playing while that one character played his guitar. He was really playing that, by the way. I will look more into the music on that part and see if it was an actual artist or just music for his guitar playing scene

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS is everything that's wrong with movies these days.

I'd sit through THE NEW GUY twice before I watch FURIOUS.

Wow, that's saying something. I mean, Fast and the Furious was horrible (worst acting ever), but The New Guy twice?

There is a man playing a guitar over the top of this piece, but he's accompanying it. I have been told that this is a legitimate tune that was playing a lot by some key Djs a while back - thing is, they can't tell me the title!!
Oh, and fair enough FATF is not exactly Oscar material, but calm down - it's entertaining! You've got to appreciate all levels of music and film-making. Hell, some of the first soundtracks I bought were musical scores. As long as Iit recreates the tone and theme of the film, who cares - just enjoy it for what it is!

Fast & The Furious is definitely a horrible movie if you watch it for the plot and acting. The cars, however, are very nice although they do hollywoodize them quite a bit. Great chase and driving scenes though. I will look for that tune too Curly and see if I can help you with anything. It's going to be hard though

Yeah, but 2 doesn't have Diesel!

I was forced to see A MAN APART last night. Man, this guy is just devoid of acting skills.

Ah, but who needs acting skills when you look like Vin Diesel?!! (Mind you, must admit that 'xXx' was a bit of a disappointment!).
The sheer beauty of FATF was the cars. Nothing more, nothing less - they were the stars, and that was the basis/selling point of the film. It was never s'posed to be a 'Schindler's List'!
I loved the cars, the action and the attitude (yes, I'm a girl!!) Bring 'em on!
Better than the boring tripe that was 'Days of Thunder' any day!!!
Oh, and keep looking you guys - I'm desperate to know what this tune is!!!

Oh yeah, well I'd sit through DAYS OF THUNDER three times, before I'd sit through THE NEW GUY twice, before watching FAST AND THE FURIOUS once.

    Myeh.

Everything that's wrong with movies? That's a heck of a thing to say coming from someone who hasn't seen the movie, (but apparently shilled out for THE NEW GUY.)

But...that a relatively low budget movie made in a moderately tight and cohesive manner can find an audience and prove entertaining? Isn't that what movies are all about?

The sequel, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS seems more of an epitaph of the making of the sequel, no? Reportedly John Singleton is directing, which probably means the bad guy will be a white supremacist (with a really fast car).

Hahahahahaha! I like that one, but you guys are bashing the movie like we watched it for the plot. Do any of you have an ounce of knowledge when it comes to imports? If so, bring your car or give me directions to your house and we can race on a legit drag strip for..ohhh,, how does 2,000 sound? Seriously, import freaks like myself admit this is a movie not worth seeing if you are not into cars, but then again...why are you watching it if that's the case. Kinda like saying you hate Batman, but you plan on seeing the next movie that comes out. Course, this is moviemusic, home of bashing others opinions and post the most negative responses. Heh heh

My car is a 1989 Ford Probe with a 2.2L inline 4 cylinder engine and a very poorly designed 4 speed automatic transmission. It was all manufactured and assembled by Mazda in August, 1988.

It's not the best car on Earth, and yes, every car in Fast and the Furious could obviously outrun it. But that's not the point. I'd rather see a bunch of Opel minivans with diesel engines in them racing around over this rice stuff.

Sorry. I love cars, but the 'imports' with their huge wings, weird front end modifications, "listen to me and my stupid loud exhaust system," and etc., just don't float my boat.

NP: Sunset Boulevard (Finally didn't let the cover scare me away...)

I completely agree...but I'm talking about the motors. They had some impressive cars with good engine mods. Except for the ridiculous 2 NOS bottles. I don't like the huge wings and graphics with neon lights and all that mess either. Let's stick to what it's about...racing.

On topic: I use BT's score for The Fast & The Furious quite regularly while driving. It's a rush for sure

Off topic: Have you seen the way Craig Leiberman riced up his R-34 for the sequel? 3 NAWWSSSS bottles on a stock RB26.... That ain't cool. That engine alone can make 600 without the need for THREE NOS bottle.

BT's score needs more oomph. Maybe some extra nitrous, no?
