    Website update:
    http://jerrylondon2003.no-ip.org/

(Mr. Little will be happy to hear that the site is CSS-based. )

Everyone who wants to meet up with the rest of us, please send me your info ASAP. Also, those who are already listed, please send me as much info as you are willing to provied (photo, real name, e-mail address, arrival/departure times). In case we miss someone, it would probably be a good idea to have a list of mobile phone numbers. If you e-mail them to me, I will NOT put them on the website, but mail them out to the people on the site a few days before the concerts.

Also, if you're familiar with London and the Barbican, please suggest meeting locations and times.

    See you all soon!

    Not at all.

So, where to meet? Some people suggested one of the Barbican bars for the first concert (which one?). Since most of us arrive only a few hours before the pre-concert talk, it will be best to have a meeting location close to where the concert takes place. On the second day, we'll have more time, so we could meet at HMV Oxford Street, like in 2001?

I'm afraid I didn't get it...been having some server (actually: provider) troubles lately, perhaps that's the reason. Could you send it again, to the email address at the bottom of the website? Thx.

I got your mail, shrubber. Sounds good.

So, to everyone, this is the suggested meeting location for the first concert:

The Vaults - "a Pizza Hut pretending to be a pub.
Should keep both real ale lovers and fast food junkies happy" (Barbican map).

I will update the website later today or tomorrow to include this info. Let me know what you think of this location.

Oh, and I got my tickets today: Circle D57, both nights.

Grooviness! That place sounds A-OK to me. Are we saying 6pm there? Will that leave enough time to get to the hall for the talk at quarter past?

I just updated the website, and I also wrote 6pm, but I'd say everyone should try to be there earlier, 6pm at the very latest, so we don't miss the talk.

If we meet at HMV Oxford street (same as in 2001) on Thursday, how long will it take us to get to the Barbican from there?

I'm not sure, but from the map I'd say it's a bit out of the way, particularly since there's currently no Central Line (red) operating on the Underground - something you should be made aware of methinks. But if it was to be in that kinda area, rather than somewhere a bit closer to the Barbican, maybe in the big Tower Records at Picadilly Circus (entrance direct from tube station)? I don't know the area around the Barbican very well, maybe Shrubber can give us a better place a bit nearer?

    Citizens,

As Pete has already suggested, the only record store within shouting distance of a working tube line and with a decent soundtrack section is the Tower of Power, so that's as good a place to meet as any. It takes about 30-40 mins to get to the Barbican from there. I'll have to meet you lot at the Barbican due to work commitments...
