I decided to start my own Buffy The Vampire Slayer thread here since i am not a member of FSM anyway. I can't believe noone here has. Where are all the Buffy fans?

Anyway, i asked Beck one time a bit ago about his returning to Buffy and he said it was not his choice, but yet in contridiction i read on a thread that Beck and Wheadon enjoyed working together. I can only surmise Weadon doesn't want Beck back on for some reason. MAybe Robert Duncan is cheaper to afford, who knows. Duncan does a impressive job himself.
I found out from the FSM thread that thisis the last season of Buffy. Oh damn.
It's been a hell of a run hasn't it? I knew it was going to end, after all you just don't come up against the devil and them fight regualr demons the rest of the series. Weadon would nbot be able to top himself. Which also says something about Angel. How will Angel get along after he appears on Buffy, fights the devil, they win somehow and goes back to hgis show? He fought The First and then goes back to fighting regualr demons? Hard to do i imagine.

A Spin-Off wiht Spike. Maybe this is a eleborate cover up.
Spike got his soul back. But at what price? MAybe he sold his soul to the devil. Think about it. That's why ghe told Buffy he was talking to no oine when she heard voices in the room. Spike talking to The One in his form. I thought i remembered hearing that The First can olny take forms of dead people. Then Spike being soulless is like being dead. Remembering it alos took Buffy's form a few tiems as well.....
Why did Spike sell his soul? Maybe wanted to be human and be with Buffy. But Buffy still rejects him. Now he is working with the first cause he is going to kill Buffy. Like Zander once said the best i recall, "You just donm't kill 2,000 people and waker up the next morning and play golf."
William may attempt to do more than destroy Buffy, but the Earth as well. Will it parish in flames? Time will tell.

So, Angel in a 5 part arc eh? I can only pray that Beck scores each part. Buffy needs Beck like The X-Files needed Snow.

However it endfs i believe Buffy, Spike, Warren's friend, all the potential slayers will all die.

Giles is allready dead. He had his head choped off. "But we saw him and they can touch him" But i ask you to recall his one line after Buffy said she missed him, "I miss you to" I think that sadly implied more than he hadn't seen her in a bit. Giles bit the big one. He is now some angel of god here to watch over Buffy and her last days and try to do what he can before the end of the world. Oh yeah and i think they'll kill off Don too. Buffy's death in "The Gift" was sad enough, but this time it might have a impact on all fans cause we know that she won't be back. Maybe Xander will die a hero. Giving himself to a purpose. Defending Buffy till his last breath.

    And please no Faith series.

Actually, do a search for "buffy vampire", and you get over 50 threads.

Justin, glad you’re a Buffy Buddy. (Kevin should join us too.)

We started the Buffy thread at FSM because we loved Beck’s music. After he left, we
wanted to discuss the intricacies of the story lines. I’ll speculate on a few things.
Gellar is leaving so Buffy won’t be on next year. She may be killed off at the end of this
season. The lady who plays Anya didn’t want to be in an 8th season, so she could be
killed in the end. Xander, Spike, Dawn, and Willow all wanted to have an 8th season . I
think they will be alive at the end of this season and will cross over to Angel or be in a
new spin off series. Spike was in Seattle last weekend, and my daughter saw him at a
convention, and he talked along time about a new spin off series that will be back in about
a year. It won’t have Faith, but Spike said he’d be in it. Whedon is working on it.

I think Spike has a real soul, not a Devil soul, but as vampires are dead, the First could
take him over. Giles still puzzles me. He can be touched. Maybe he is an angel of God,
but I’m thinking he may be really alive. I think Faith will come on Angel and restore him
from Angelus to Angel and then the two of them will join Buffy and her gang for the really
big fight. Whedon will write and direct the last episode. I hope he invites Beck to score
    it.

Below is what I posted at FSM. It concerns what my daughter saw at the convention.

My daughter who lives in Seattle went to a Science Fiction convention that included
Buffy and Angel characters. (Spike, Loren, and the floppy eared demon.) She said that
Loren and the demon without make up were very good looking.

She only went to Spike’s presentation. She said Spike gave a great talk to the audience
and graciously answered all questions. In a nutshell, he said he was very sad Buffy was
ending as he thought they’d go on forever, the cast gets along and are friends, he really
admires Whedon and the cast often go to Whedon’s home after long shoots to drink and
talk, Spike himself doesn’t drink at all, Whedon wants to develop some type of off shoot
series involving Spike and others from the show but it hasn’t been written yet and is only
in the formative stage, this new program may not be on next year but maybe the year after,
and Spike has a band and loves singing and playing in it.

Spike wants to sometime produce and play MacBeth. He did the “Tomorrow” speech for
the audience, and my daughter thought he sounded great. He also did a song from the
    musical.

One lady in the audience kind of chewed him out for the attempted rape scene with Buffy.
She said that, “Youngsters watch this show and that such a scene could have a bad
influence on them.” Well, duh, I never thought that Buffy was for youngsters. Funny that
she didn’t jump on the other controversial issues seen in the program. Spike was very
gracious to her saying that neither he nor Gellar really wanted to do the scene but that it
was essential to drive him into leaving for a soul.

Finally Spike talked a little about his band and said he had a great drummer who was 19
and had to quit to leave on his mission, so my daughter put together that his drummer has
a mission and that Spike doesn’t drink so maybe he is a Mormon. That doesn’t jive with
my image of the cigarette chain smoking Spike who tells everyone to, “Sod off.”

It is a far deeper series than most realize, and I'll miss it.

    Buffy Buffy Buffy Buffy....

(Maybe we should put this in the "junkyard.")

However, I keep up on most of the "Buffyverse" and I know Alyson Hannigan is jumping over to Angel (if it gets re-upped for another year). Otherwise I was really jonesing for a "Faith" series, but know I heard that is not going to happen.

Well, Sarah has said she'd like to appear in periodic episodes of the spinoff as well as Angel. So it doesn't appear that she'll be killed off. She also stated that she hopes Whedon will give her the last line of the last episode. And there's also talk of another Buffy feature film starring SMG in the future. So I wouldn't look for her getting killed off. But... there is supposed to be a major cast member killed before the end.

Maybe they are tryingto throw us off.

What did they say the life span of a slayer was? 25? How old is Buffy.....

Tonight they showed the re-run of where Buffy had to try to kill another one of her friends, Anya.
Buffy manages to run Anya through and they leave us like that and go to commercial. I was not impressed at all. I remember Buffy running a vengence demon through before, maybe it was Anya and the VD easily recovered. So i knew that was going to happen. But it's how they handled it back from commercial with Anya in the Buffy musical and singing about Xander and how happy she is and suddenly go to her impaled apon the wall did it actually move me. IT was sad and brought tears to my eyes.
Buffy show is the only show to regualy bring tears to my eyes. How many other shows have such dynamic characters and plots and well written stories that seem to have been thought about for some time instead of the day to day "Days Of Our Lives" stories (I miss the old Stefano).
The scenes and speeches with Xander about Riley and Buffy running toi catch Riley before the helicopter combined with Beck's powerful piece just makes for a fantastic watching experience. It's like a mini well made movie.

Foreshadowing. In season 2 or 3 someone said to Willlow:
"...turn your enemies in side out..."

    Spike said to Buffy:
    "...take you on someday."

Maybe Spike will finally slay another Slayer.

When Buff had to fight Glory, it ocured to me that maybe when Buffy said she knew she could not defeat her that she was remembering. Maybe that episode where Buffy seems to regress into a insane house is real. Maybe Glory sucked Buffy's brains out and Buffy was left for crazy. Maybe she is there.

And yet another sad episode we see Buffy come home and find her mom dead. Or to see Don collapse to the floor in tears. Such emotional impact that not very many people seem to get. To bad Angel doesn't click with me and firefly sucked.

Firefly sucked? Them's fightin' words, dude. Firefly never got a changce, thanks to FOX and their "let's put it on Friday's at 8, so we can cancel it right away."

But I am in fearful trepidation of the last few episodes of Buffy. What's that Styx song? "Don't Let It End."

    Nah, Firefly got 13 chances.

Firday is not that bad, The X-Files was on Fridays at one point and that lasted 9 years. Heck, even MillenniuM lasted 3.
Weadon started with poor characters and plots and a setting that was never that interesting to begin with. Western space palnets, what was he thinking? Was he thinking? And while he no aliens thing was sort of a good idea, in light of it's faliure, perhaps it wasn't that great of an idea.

    More foreshadowing:

In the episdoe where the 1st slayer tries to kill them all in their sleep, in Buffy's dream Tara is there saying something like:
"You think you know who you are? You think you know what is to come? (They show an extra bed and says something like) don't leave before dawn."

Obviously hinting at Don before she was a member. Now those words before, i can only suggest where in reference to her death. But maybe not. With the light on that Buffy's powers come from a demon, maybe Tara was refering to that. Where she came from, what is to come. The First.

I think I know what's going to happen at end of Buffy! I haven't read any spoilers, I just put this together in my mind after watching Buffy an hour ago and seeing Dawn see her mother.

It was stated a few episodes ago that Buffy's powers, the power of a Slayer, come from a demon. When Dawn saw her mother she stated that when the time comes she will not chose you (dawn). She will be against you (Dawn).
The First takes control of Buffy through her demon and everyone has to fight Buffy even Faith. Buffy kills her own friends and eventually one of them kills her. Why not? IT makles scense. She's tried to whack each one of them, only time they had their swing.

Spike goes evil, someone kills him off too.

Giles will be one of like only 2 or 3 left alive from the group.

One hell of a ending right?

Yeah, except I have a feeling there's going to be a happy ending. Although perhaps Buffy dying WOULD be happy... "Death is your gift," right?
