I just read a very lovely interview with Klaus Badelt, in which he stated, that he did much more on Invincible, Hannibal amongst others. How muc is his input in these two scores? Can we more call them a Badelt score, then a Zimmer score?

    Best Wishes

    Philipp

hmmm Perhaps he did do more music, but was it all used in the film? And Perhaps the Hannibal soundtrack only holds Zimmer's portion.
But you know, does it really matter? These guys sound simular enough to not even notice. Thats why these types of discussions always come up, because noone can ever be certian as to who did what.

On Prince of Egypt, Harry Gregson-Williams has a large part in it.

On M:I2 Gavin Greenaway did have a lot to do with the choral arrangement. Injection IS by Hans

    Did you forget that

On Spirits, Steve Jablonsky did most of the score based on Hans' main theme(S). Gavin also composed Additional music.

oh yeah. let's start naming all the people who helped Zimmer and Clones, Inc. on their various homeworks assignments.
Peter will need to erase all other threads in the forum to make place for this one.

I just read a very lovely interview with Klaus Badelt

And I just read an interview with John Williams that says he wrote a rejected score for TITANIC.

Doesn't anyone have to actually qoute the sources these days, or do they just throw random snotty bits at the wall and see what sticks?

    LOL Ryan.

Well, I know that when I interviewed Klaus, he talked about how he basically did THE PLEDGE and INVINCIBLE, and how Zimmer's involvement was more of a supervisory one.

Steve Jablonsky did more for Pearl Harbor than just those 2 cues. He also did Attack (except for the Japanese Theme) and Heart of a Volunteer. He also did most of the patriotic music or something like that.

There's also Geoff Zanelli, who writes for these guys and has contributed cues to many projects, including FACE/OFF, ANTZ, CHICKEN RUN, HANNIBAL, PEARL HARBOR, TIME MACHINE, K-19: THE WIDOWMAKER, EQUILIBRIUM, and others.....

Very good point. Plus there's Jim Dooley, James S. Levine and a few others that don't get much recognition. It's kinda hard to find out who does what when Media Ventures' site has been down for probably a year now.

Was it too difficult to say that in your original post?

Like Lo-Pan in BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, it "pisses me off to no end" that people don't qoute their sources.

All is forgiven! Just qoute them sources!!

Harry also did more filler cues, like "The Line In The Sand cue. The HGW contribution to POE wasn't limited to scoring but he also did the Theatrical trailer music too. Source? Remember YUMBO?
The Spirit thing is from the board.

Jim Dooley also co-scored the Ring too. I'll be getting the DVD when it come out.

Hey madono, you DO realize that like 8 people worked on PRINCE OF EGYPT, right? And more than one person worked on THE PEACEMAKER. And same with AS GOOD AS IT GETS.

Yes, much of those people(and others)worked in "Prince","peacemaker" and "As good".Zimmer always has used Adittionals. But in specific little parts of score.
Now I really think that Zimmer just compose the themes and others arranged and adapted it into the film.
This 3 scores at least has the zimmer touch, the Zimmer sound, the zimmer tunes,Zimmer arrangements and the zimmer style. And I'm sure that are completly by hans.

    Seeu.

    Zimmer completely scoring something?

No no, it's more like this:

He sits around cursing with his friends late at night working on a score. Hew whistles a few tunes and 3 to 5 other compsers make the score out of the... word of mouth.....
