There's a thread floating around which is about score albums that contain songs, but I'm curious as to which are your favourite song compilation soundtracks (with maybe 1 or 2 score tracks thrown in at the end).

    Some of my favourites:

    Trainspotting
    Pulp Fiction
    Snatch
    The Big Lebowski
    Oh! Brother Where Art Thou
    Reservoir Dogs
    The Beach
    The Matrix

(I hope Tarantino's great taste in music continues with the Kill Bill soundtrack. His choice for the teaser trailer is already very promising)

    Yours?

    • The Blues Brothers
    • Pulp Fiction

I also like the songs on the Born on the Fourth of July album a lot.

NP: Their Satanic Majesties Request (The Rolling Stones)

Well, I honestly do not like songtracks much. When it gets “pop” or “rock” or whichever non film music genre attached to a film, I usually rather specific songs of that genre.

How ever, I do love Disney’s movie songs. Particularly Alan Mencken’s, like Aladdin, Beauty and the beast, the little mermaid. Or even Hans Zimmer’s (shame on me) collaborations with Elton John (oh mine) for the songs from the lion king. The lion king 2, The land before time, pretty much all about children movie’s songs.

Armageddon was good though, as well as Oh! Brother Where Art Thou (This one would actually be among the best)

    Rach.
