Can anyone compare Goldsmith's score to THE 13TH WARRIOR and Revell's rejected EATERS OF THE DEAD?I have Goldsmith's effort. Is there anything distinctive in Revell's score.
(I don't have any Revell so keep it simple!)

Revell's score is perhaps a bit more ethnic. It incorporates vocals in a different way. Overall, it's a good listen, and actually one of Revell's better works in my opinion. I would say it's a shame it was tossed... but I'm an absolute sucker for Goldsmith's.Get a hold of Revell's score if you can.

Revell is an aquired taste and his 13th Warrior score somewhat unusual.Maybe i can put i up a clip, that is, if no one has any complaints. Record heads, what say yee?

While I have not heard Revell's score, I have a very difficult time believing it was anywhere near as excellent as Goldsmith's--surely the finest work I've sampled from '99.

It definitely was a shame that Revell's was rejected. Yes, Goldsmith's was alright, but I really like Revell's. Of course, his was scored to a completely different cut, so it doesn't really work with the movie we finally saw. It would be neat to see the original version with the original score.
