Beast Master is a good score. Lots of fun, and good action cues.

I only have the old Varese LP of this score, which, seeing as I don't have a turntable, doesn't get much play. However, I do recall it's a loud score, and the main theme is a little similar to BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.BEASTMASTER was also released on its own on the CAM label, but I don't know whether it's still available.
BEASTMASTER 2 seems to me to be too much of a good thing: it's very big, very loud and goes on for ages, which wears me out. Maybe I'm getting old....I suffer from HELLRAISER 2 the same way.

I had hopes that a CD would have been released for the TV series which lasted an impressive three years (not bad for a network or syndicated fantasy series), but I guess that will never happen now since the show has ended (although it is still shown on cable super station WGN). The music from the series was always very well done. Was it all by the same composer or did they use various artists over the three seasons?with love as always,

The Beastmaster/Beauty and the Beast CD is a fantastic package, and I strongly recommend it.The sound quality is thumpy but clear. Lee Holdridge is an audiophile, and the music he produces tends to have very purist elements to them.
If you like Holdridge's score for The Beastmaster, may I also recommend his epic scores for Into Thin Air: Death on Everest and The Tuskegee Airmen?
