    Oh yeah, this thread!

Well, Bordello Of Blood(Boardman) and The Gamble (Donaggio) just poked their head in the door, via ebay. Bordello isn't much, but the climactic action cues were fun, and 30mins. of London-recorded horror music isn't a total loss in my book....Gamble is a fun Donaggio score that uses some of the synths he had in Crawlspace, composed around the same time, mixed with a nice love theme. Glad to upgrade my old tape of this puppy....

I found used copies of the Gerhardt Max Steiner re-recording (contains Now Voyager, etc.) and the second Korngold disc, Elizabeth and Essex.

Well last month I was able to snatch up a copy of Goldsmiths original Legend score. Still haven't given it a good listen yet. And I picked up that CD of LOTR Inspired music by Johan De Mujai or something. lol I'll think of his name here in a minute. It suprisingly....AWESOME!! Gandalf's theme is sooooooomething! Check it out LOTR fans.

    Just today:

Rocco and His Brothers (Nino Rota)

Accadde to the Prison/ A Hero of Our Times (Nino Rota)

Love them both. "Rocco" is one of Rota's dramatic and deeply Sicilian scores. The other cd is the bouncy Rota, and "Prison" has a nice romantic waltz theme that I love.

    Best Regards,
    Dylan

NP- nothing, but I'm putting on some Rota here soon

Reza, you ask if Goldsmith's THE RUSSIA HOUSE is "good". You have probably heard it by now, so you can make up your own mind! But, since you asked, I think it's GREAT! Goldsmith himself said that the CD release was "too long", but I think it's got just the right amount of repetition to make the material felt. And what a wealth of material! I know I'll be making a lot of enemies with this next comment, but, for me, THE RUSSIA HOUSE was Jerry Goldsmith's last 5-star score.

And, like you, I also found it in a bargain bin. I had to plough through some limp lettuce, weedy carrots, and diminutive smelly sprouts to get to it, but I'm glad I chose it over the cut-price veg. So I had crisps and beer for supper that night.

The Bond scores are simply excellent - even FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. I hadn't listened to this in a long time (one of those LPs that didn't make the cut when building my CD library).
