I can imagine is not among his best creations, but....how about the score from Mr. Rabin for those of you who have seen Kangaroo Jack?
I hope he recovers soon, because what a four hit combo: the one, Bad Company, The Banger Sisters and Kangaroo Jack (does he remember what he wrote for Remember the Titans, Deep Blue Sea or Armageddon?)

The score wasn't bad at all. And I personally loved his score to Bad Company. I'd like to see a score release for both of these films.

I thought his score for Bad Company was decent as well, although i HATED the film itself. I recently finally listened to the one and only score track on the BC soundtrack, and loved what I heard.

Ooopss....my mistake, I wrote Bad Company instead of Gone in 60 Seconds (which is the BAD one); youīre right, Bad Company is a decent score, and it deserves a release.....as soon as possible.

Yeah, it was pretty lousy, I thought. There's a snippet of it in the trailer. That's the entire score, as far as I could make out, that one comedy-esque riff.

ANd the movie. Hoo-boy. A barker if ever there was one, but truly astounding if only to see how Bruckheimer is ...well, he turned DOWN AND UNDER, a PG-13 action-buddy-movie into KANGAROO JACK, a PG non-action, buddy movie with 3 extra minutes of CGI Kangaroo footage that kids have gone gaga for.

But the score was not one of Rabin's better efforts, IMO.

But in good Trevor Rabin news, my friend gave me a promo Rabin just put out of stuff, his "Romantic" stuff -- though I listened to it and it is indeed his softer side, but I thought it was new stuff, it's all cues from CON AIR, REMEMBER/TITANS, etc. But it's all good, IMO, basically the stuff I like best from Rabin, so now it's like a 20-minute-mini-sampler. And it has the BAD COMPANY "Prague" cue, which is about the only thing in that score I liked.

And it reminded me how much -- despite all the talk of the "BEAUTIFUL MIND" trailer cue ....the best part of that music from DEEP BLUE SEA, for me, is the slow guitar and soft choir/strings, I can't get enough of that. I could play it on a loop for an hour -- and have! OK, but enough about me...I'm off to go plan my pitch for KANGAROO JACK 2: YOU DON'T KNOW JACK.

PS - Forgot to mention the whole point of putting out the promo seemed to be to promote BANGER SISTERS, which has a nice twangy Hans Zimmer/THELMA AND LOUISE meets Thomas Newman/The Early Years thing going on for it. Very pleasant, but not nearly enough of it, though I suppose there's probably not a ton of score (vs. songs) in this film anyhow.
