Um....I think its too short of a movie to re-enjoy outside the film. But if you're a Mel Gibson fan, sure go ahead!

It's one CD that is done justice on CD rather than in the movie

    Dan certainly is cutting.

And, of course you should get this score, it's incredible you don't even have it! The DVD has an excellent 8min documentary on the music, with some interesting input from James Newton Howard on the score's progression.

From the obvious rip of Goldsmith's TZ Invaders to the obvious aping of Herrmann, I barely heard half of it before I sold it off.

Imitation, they say, is a form of flattery...but as I already own the real thing(s) what do I need a boring knock-off for.

I call it an homage to Herrmann, seeing as the movie is an homage to Hitchcock.

But as I always say, an homage is a good imitation of a previous work. A ripoff is a bad imitation.

    Not buy:

itīs not as good as so many people say. The Main Title is very exciting, reminds me of Psycho, but the rest of the score is just an average underscore!

I'm going with BUY. The way the theme is changed so many times throughout the score is amazing!

I say: don't waste your money. I didn't and that's why I don't have the soundtrack. Unless you like redundant music with the same 3-note motif(2 16ths, 8th) incessantly being played, you wouldn't like the soundtrack.

I do think this music is ENTIRELY appropriate for the movie. It enhances the eerieness and the foreboding of the movie. I just wouldn't want to sit down and listen to this music. I prefer melodious, beautiful music. I do think there are some beautiful parts (during the flashback scenes) but comprises very little of the score. These few sections aren't worth buying the entire soundtrack to me. If you like minimalistic music you'd probably like the score to "signs".
