Peter I apologize in advance, not trying to promote anyone else but there hasn't been any discussion of this yet.Buysoundtrax.com has Goldsmith's The Swarm available for pre-order with track listings and partials of 2 cues to listen to. Limited to 3000 copies and 72+ minutes of running time.

This should generate some buzz. Sorry, it was a very bad pun, but I couldn't resist.

Excellent. Can't wait for this - it's a great, fun Goldsmith score.

Prometheus Records (who is releasing THE SWARM) is also releasing James Newton Howard's score to THE PACKAGE at the same time.... Merry Christmas, indeed!

Not really. Both Intrada and SAE had it listed on their sites for well over a month. It was also listed in FSM, Soundtrack magazine, and Music from the Movies.
Martian, on the otherhand, was kept under wraps until it was ready to go out. It's a great CD and I highly recommend picking it up. The booklet itself is worth the price!

- 24 page full color glossy booklet
- loads of photos and sketches from the production / art department
- Introduction by Michael Anderson
- Detailed liner notes by Christopher Landry
- Afterthought by Ray Bradbury (DAMN funny)
- "Spender's View" notes by actor Bernie Casey
- "Remembering Stanley" notes by Hans ZimmerCombine that with the exceptional music quality, and nearly 70-minute runtime, and that should help convince ya. (Of course, if you didn't like the music to begin with, it shouldn't matter.)

That's all pretty swell, but seems a bit steep for a wee booklet. I'm sure it's a fine example of the type, but I wouldn't pay $20 bucks for it w/o the accompanying CD. I'm not usually so literal-minded. Thanks for the description. Merry merry!
