Anyone know what this year's Academy promo's are/will be? Just curious...

    Cheers,

    STEVE

Hopefully one for STAR TREK NEMESIS which features the complete score. These days the studios have so much money to spooge for Oscars you can pretty much count on a Promo for just about every movie out there. I saw a SPIDERMAN DANNY ELFMAN Acad Promo on ebay recently.

    Just spotted these on Ebay:

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (6mins), Lilo and Stitch (28mins) and The Rookie (20mins).

There are others like Spiderman, The Hours, Red Dragon, Enough, Spirit and Harry Potter 2 but they look pretty much the same as the regular releases.

Sadly, I don't see the point in making an academy promo for Nemesis - those only make sense if the score is good enough to be noiminated, right?

Believe me, I'd be happy if I hadn't had a reason to go there.

    Marian,

There are plenty of Academy promos out there for scores that are less deserving than, say, NEMESIS...... Heck, Steve mentioned DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD.....

Then I don't seen the point in those either.

Nobody would read it. Anyway, I haven't heard that many of this year's new scores, so it wouldn't be fair.

Academy promo for "Lilo and Stitch"? Bitchin'!

About ST: Nemesis - Given some of the comments I've read, I'm surprised that Dinko didn't go there first.

Also, does anyone know of an Academy promo for "Undercover Brother" (Stanley Clarke)? I thought it was one of the best scores of 2002.
