    Philipp,

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask for opinions BEFORE you order the CDs?? Think about it - now you'll just be able to listen to 'em and make up your OWN opinion.

Dan, I know I like them, cause they all are composers I so much like, it wasn´t meant to you, to help me make the choices, I just wanted to know what you think about the scores.

    Nice theme, formulaic score.

Sunset Blvd - terrific, good buy, terrific presentation, ignore bitter rants about performance, it's nice to have this complete at last.

Linguini Incident - LOVELY habenera theme throughout for piano, bass and drums, some oddball instrumentation, Pray For Rain contributes nice party, salsa songs. Good, fun album, but don't expect a tradition 'score' experience...it's like a songtrack without vocals.

Pay It Forward - nice, standard Newman ensemble work, nothing earth-shaking, but if you like his work in this genre(with added strings), it's a good listen. Fun,funky theme too....

    Best,
    Sean

Dan, Dan, Dan. The application of logic will disrupt the delicate balance of the message board. Which is just my way of saying that "You beat me to it."
Philipp, looking forward to your comments on the scores as I have heard none of them.
