    Read at musicfromthemovies.com:

"The Ian Fleming Foundation has confirmed that new expanded editions of the original James Bond scores are close to being released by MGM. Exact details and of course actual release dates should be forthcoming."

Hope it is true. Looking forward to expanded From Russia With Love, Thunderball, OHMSS, Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice...

What fantastic news! I can't wait to get more Bond music in my collection. I hope these ones aren't mixed for superior playback on a "My First Record Player™" machine. The only EMI Bond disc I own is Moonraker, and the sound quality on it is so poor that it's impossible to enjoy.

Whoa. The only Bond OST I have is a CDR of TWINE - I'm only waiting for EMI to release those expanded albums.

I'm sorry, but ENOUGH of the acronyms! There are too many Bond films to go through to try and figure out which title you're referring too!

Please, I beseach you -- do not lower Bond to the use of acronyms.

    Regards,

Hey, we use LOTR, and SW:ESB, so we can use TWINE.

In case you're still stuck, he was referring to The World is Not Enough.

Timmer, the sign of a true Bond fan, you got all the movies in chronological order. Shame you missed out FYEO

P.S. And I dont blame you for missing out DN. After all, just how many times can you listen to "UnderNeath the Mango Tree" and Monty Norman's "Mining Disaster news-reel music" (Not my words by the way!!)

Definately excited to hear more about this...

We're not looking at expanded editions of all previous 19 scores though surely.... ? Regardless, I'll take what I can get.

Lars is correct! it was released on RYKO, not a fave but it does have it's moments.

Gae, DN, I hate it and couldn't bring myself to mention it in such esteemed company ...Mining disaster music sounds about right!

All I can say is GIVE ME MORE MOONRAKER! I don't know how much xtra music there is, but whatever the duration it needs to be released- my single favorite Bond score... it perfectly captured the essense of the film. I have always wanted the music from the pre-title sequence... One day...

I love those 'pre-titles' for Moonraker too John, but there really isn't that much more missing from this score compared with OHMSS and DAF where some of the BEST cues are absent, and as much as 20 minutes or more per film.

THUNDERBALL is the only one with a real possibility of expanded material due to the previously unreleased material on '30th Anniversary collectors edition'!

Yeah Timmer, i wouldn't be surprised if a 2CD set of Thunderball became avaliable in a year.

Before you guys get all excited, I have not seen a word about this over at the IanFleming.org.

I know John Cork mentioned something about this stuff being "in the works" but I would be careful with your enthusiasm. You don't want to get disappointed.

If I can find the exact quote from Mr. Cork, I'll post it.

The Moonraker album is missing 22 minutes of score, including source music and adapted cues.

So long as those missing cues dont include another version of "Do You Know how Xmas Trees are Grown"
