Just up at Movie Poop Shoot is my full interview with David Arnold,
talking about DIE ANOTHER DAY. The CD review posted last
Friday has been restored too. For those who may not know, the
site was hacked into this past weekend & practically destroyed. We
have all been doing our darndest to put things back together - but
there are a few things irretrievably lost...

So if you find a few kooky links that don't do what they're supposed
to - please bear with us!

Meanwhile, you can find the Arnold interview here: http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/score/13a.html
The DIE ANOTHER DAY album review here: http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/score/12.html
And the new Column here: http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/score/index.html
Content included in the new Column:
    - Capsule reviews of SAINT SINNER / DAY OF THE
DEAD / NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD / THE
    ESSENTIAL JOHN CARPENTER FILM MUSIC
    COLLECTION - 'cos it's Halloween!
    - News on Howard Shore - the music on THE TWO
TOWERS trailers / its imminent album / its surprise
vocal artist / update on GANGS OF NEW YORK.
    - The latest on THE MATRIX projects from Don Davis.
    - Competition Winners.
    - New JAMES BOND album Competition.
    AND MORE!!!!

Clint Mansell's people had NOTHING to do with the re-recording of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM for the LOTR:TTT trailer.

Liv Tyler not only will not have a song on the album, but according to my WB Records guy, she doesn't even sing in the score.

Also, the Limited Edition LOTR:TTT soundtrack is NOT gonna be 2-CDs. TheOneRing.net got it wrong, as I had hinted at before.

Right now, it's JUST gonna be the "Lothlorien Suite" as the "extra bonus" on the limited edition. No multimedia, no extra tracks from FOTR.

Well - thanks for the update on all those issues then I guess. I'd rather you'd not made it sound as if I was reporting authoritatively myself, since I do credit the sources for each news item. With the ever-faster immediacy of Internet news reporting it's just inevitable that info will update & change between the time it takes me to write & submit something, & when it appears.

Also - my posting here was really to notify about the David Arnold / Bond-related pieces which are running alongside the Column.

    Thanks.

    PAUL

    Paul,

I never said anything about YOU in my post. I just added some clarifications to items in your article.

Try not to take things so personally!

    Paul,

Great interview and CD review. You asked a lot of questions us Bond & Film Music fans wanted to know.

I was especially pleased to find that Arnold said the whole score is paid for, so an expanded album wouldn't have a costly re-use, and that he did indeed start a song w/ Don Black for this film. Let's hope they finish it.

Thanks again. Looking forward to the film and the score, as well as more great articles from Tonks, Paul Tonks.

    James
