The best show on TV is back and it was in top form tonight. With a great MV style score once again from composer Sean Callery. This series needs a score release! It's fun!
If you missed it, it was one hell of an episode! This season looks to be even better than the last using events ripped from the headlines that make for some very interesting hour of TV!

I noticed the music... and then noticed it was something that I probably shouldn't be noticing. The music is like all TV music these days, "sonic wallpaper."Soon all TV music will just come from library of cues.
Director says, "Oh, I need lots of strings and percussion, about 15 seconds worth."
Music house responds, "You want cue 459091.A, we'll get that right to you via the FOX Conglomerate Media Share system."The show is already repeating itself, with Kim in danger for no good reason. She can still run, correct? Well, what's her problem? Why did she drop out of school?
What's with all the blondes? Nothing against them, but why are the only brunettes at CTU? I couldn't tell them apart and was getting highly confused. And why hire that "Rosanne" girl? Uugh...
I'll watch the show again this season, but it's seems to have already lost much of its touch. Kinda reminds me of Men in Black vs. Men in Black II.
And thank God for 3 minute Ford commercials. Instead of just showing about 3 seconds of Bullitt, why not just show the whole chase sequence? That would have been infinitely more entertaining than lame music coupled with strange camera angles capturing boring-looking automobiles.
Oh well, I'm just Mr. Positive today. Sorry STPD.

Last nights eps of 24 had music that was definitely way above and beyond anything Mark Snow wrote for THE X-FILES, though I don't think it was anything ground breaking or even particularly exciting. It worked with the show, which was riveting.I never got to watch the first season of 24, but have waited for season 2. There's another hour out of my week....

3 episodes before the end of 24's first season I quit watching. Why? Because Kim got kidnapped for like the 5th time. It just got to be too much. The constant kidnapping, the amnesia, the moles. I just couldn't take it anymore.Sounds like this season will be no different. I'd rather watch "Life With Bonnie," be amused and laugh and then go to bed than sit through another season of "24."
If I want to see terrorism and kidnapping, I can just turn on the news. It's right there for real.
On the plus side, it's nice to see Keifer Sutherland doing a great job on the show. He deserves the attention he is getting for his acting.

Too bad you quit watching...the last episode was easily the best hour of television I have ever seen. And Brian--I'm with you on the new season...excellent start!! Plus, I think Palmer's story will be much more intriguing this time around.

Not to take this too far off topic, but I think the best TV I've ever watched was in the wee early hours of the morning last spring when the miners in PA were recovered. Without a doubt, it was CNN's finest hour(s). There was no speculation and no idiot talking heads just filling space, instead we just had a great semi-live/live feed showing these guys coming up one after another. It was absolutely wonderful stuff to watch. I doubt I'll see anything better than this on TV in my life.

Best TV was Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band 'Live from Barcelona' two weeks ago on MTV Europe. Now, that was exciting !

In the first few episodes of 24 in the first season, they had cues taken from various artsists. I thought that worked better than the rest of the composed music.
